QUOTE(handabanana @ Jan 8 2013, 05:11) I also use heavy (power armor) and 2H (estoc). I used to use maces as well, but all stun does is prolong the battle. You might want to take a look at estocs with high (25% max) chance of "Penetrated Armor" as that negative status lets you kill enemies much faster so you take fewer hits.
But I think for his level mace is suit for survivability. (except you have good gears that increase your PMI.) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Sorry for my poorly english =w= This post has been edited by arialinnoc: Jan 8 2013, 00:19

For stats, I've always just kept all stats balanced except for Int, which I've kept 30 points below all the others. I'm still using this build today, but I don't play on higher difficulties. Yes, Wis and Int should be for mages, but even melee need to cast buffs and heal. It's useful, don't neglect them.
Early on, you want to max out HP and MP tanks. Spare points should be put into Aura Slots, Item Slots, and other buff spells like Haste, Protection, Shadow Veil. Grab the first Scroll and Infusion Slots, but don't get any more unless you absolutely need it for whatever reason at a later level. Weaken will be your go to debuff spell for a while. Get Regen I and II. Heal II isn't as important as Heal I.
Hmm, I see, thanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Well, for now I mostly 1-2 hit kill stuff, so I will change to penetrated armor when I get to stuff that actually survives a few strikes (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I understand the wis btw, but does int effect something at all for simple buffs/heal? I thought it was dmg only o-o And I got the scroll slots, but it's like potion, need a scroll to use it every time? Didn't find the scroll in shop, only got 1 shadow veil from mob XD And ty for tips again (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE(Hentaicheg @ Jan 7 2013, 22:59) http://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_Advice should take care of all your questions. (and more!) If there's more specific stuff you'd like to know ask again here. Regarding the advice page; do (new) people read the first post of this topic? Might be worth to edit in a small "announcement" on top of the first post with the like to the wiki page and a comment that it's up to date. Or put it in the topic description.

Each time you use a scroll/infusion in battle, it gets replaced by the same kind if you have more left in your inventory. So the only reason to have more than one of those slots is if you plan on using more than one type of scroll/infusion.

1. Is Poison still useful now that I've reached Lvl 62? What about other Deprecating magic - Weaken, Slow & Sleep? 2. Are Protection & Cure spells effective/useful and worth investing? 3. Do monsters make more or less damage if I use Confuse (maxed out) spell?

1. poison is still good on bosses and stuff, I still cast it from time to time for shits and giggles on FSM. Weaken, slow are both very good to have. Sleep is also good at lower levels if you are a mage or use 1HD/DW. You can put one boss to sleep and kill the other one. It can also work well to grind prof, put a monsters to sleep then cast weaken or cure to grind them. 2. yes and yes. very much so 3. confuse was the very last thing in my tree i put points into. It sucks other then to watch 2 of your monsters fight each other.

1. Oh, I get it. Put one or a few monsters to sleep so that my character won't get attack very often. Concentrate on the rest before reengaging the sleeping monsters. Just don't attack the monsters when they are sleeping or the spell will be wasted. 3. It doesn't make the battle easier for you? With the monsters killing or at least weaken each other.

1. if you use any attack that can hit more then 1 monster that attack could hit the sleeping monster and wake it up. 3. its just a crap spell that costs mana that could be spent on something that will help more. At some point casting weaken on every monster will be needed if you play on high settings. the monsters can attack each other and still attack you. you are better off putting one to sleep or casting weaken. the only reason why i have the skill now is because my tree is full. its something you can mess around with but at your level you would be better off using the AP in something else.

If I delete a monster...which can be done before they reach Level 100 according to the wiki, at a cost of 5 chaos tokens...do I recover any crystals or tokens spent on them?

Thanks. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Was considering getting someone else to level it, but I was hearing 500k+ even though my estoc was already level 7.

Hi I haven't been really playing much over the last 4-5 months, just the occasional random battles (on Battletoads Challenge Mode) With all the recent patches to the HV game, I've literally lost touch with the game, especially with the equipment stats. (IMG:[ www.renderosity.com] http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/art/emoticons/confused.gif) I've read through the HentaiVerse Advice already, but I could still use some advice on how to better my game. Do I need to swap or forge my primary staff? How do I tell if the equipment/armour I have is still within my level? Do I need to improve on my staff proficiency? I know my Magic proficiencies are very far behind, any quick way to build it up? I only made the switch from melee to mage from around level 130 onwards. I don't have much in the way of credits, so I can't really go for the higher end stuff atm. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I'm currently at level 162, & my current stats/proficiencies/armour/staffs are: [attachmentid=21507] [attachmentid=21508] [attachmentid=21509] [attachmentid=21510] I have all my Elemental AoEs maxed & only recently the Holy/Dark AoEs maxed as well. Any feedback/advice is welcomed. Thanks.

@HigherMakoto just pay for 1 or 2 or a few runs, and do the rest yourself. Getting someone to do an IWBTH run or 2 is well worth it, and you can probably make the credits back in arena in less time than it'd take you to get that 1800 pxp yourself.
Lol just did 3 runs on my scythe, 1st run 15 drops, 2nd run 16 drops, 3rd run 2 drops.
Never used an aether shard before; forgot it gives accuracy besides 10% conservation. Just realized how very useful it is for those melee IW grinds. Soul harvest doesnt miss, procs a bunch, get my SP back, and as a bonus, x-nerf doesn't miss when i do REs.

Well, I'm knocking them out on Hell now, so it's not super bad. Also I just got my first figurine during a run. Ironically it's 'Rarity'.
