Stats:
I'm wearing mostly plate armor and using a 2 handed mace.

I can barely get through the daily arena on normal, can someone suggest a build stats/eq that will let me go through the daily arena and random encounters easy and halp me not suck? Thanks.

First, you should post your equips' link. Then, take a look at some general advices.
I do think the major problem's in your armor, but still it's better to have some verification.

Haste and spark should be helpful. Silence and weaken are also good if you fight on harder difficulty. Like BT/IWBTH random encounter.

Screw EXP tanks, powerleveling is not a smart move. Move points from it into Mana tanks, melees need mana even more than mages.

Anyone knows if there is still a loot quality bonus for going deep inside a GF?
Just some bad runs or did it get butchered when merged with Crysfest?

You'll need spark (so to elude death) or silence (make monsters unable to use skill/SP attack) against gods, as those skills/SP attacks really hurts. You can visit the same advice page for some suggestions against ROB gods.

Screw EXP tanks, powerleveling is not a smart move.

I disagree, leveling is the fastest way to get stronger, imo. Not to mention your earning potential goes up at a higher level which will help you buy better equips. I say exp tanks are one of the most important things to spend ability points on.

the last run I did was +1100 rounds, got 104 equipment drops and bazaar'ed all but 8 and those a salveged. I think I kept 2 but they weren't very good. The drops sure aren't what they use to be, just junk

Speaking of salvaging; with the higher sell prices, is it worth it salvaging below exquisites now? Even with just the higher (300+) superior ones I got low-grades way more than half the time

yes on T1 armor and T1/2 weapon (superior+)

honestly my chances for any sort of better grade has been abysmal of late. Especially w/ magnificents. I'm thinking i'll just take the credits instead of paying 500 - 800 per sup/lg each time (800 - 1200 per exq /lg)

question about AP: finally filled all my tanks (minus xp), what do i go for now? fill out buffs / debuffs? start doing low tier spells and get resistances? I just threw them into holy resist (have 1st tier for grinding) since didn't see anything else i needed.

Asking the higher level Elemental mages here, does the resist situation get better as your Phase scales to 200%, 300% EDB total? Or does it just get eaten away in ever higher monster MMI? Since the patch I'm now facing PL 700+ guys, most of which seem to have had at least 20 points dropped into Cold Resist, which means a pile of them have 70%+ resists, so I'm finding myself turning to Imperil a lot more than I ever had to before to finish off Mechs/Undead/Elementals.

I'm asking because I threw together a rather pedestrian Fenrir set over the last two weeks or so and have been trying it out now that I have Pestilence maxed, and even with my hideous Divine/Forbidden prof, it doesn't seem to be doing much worse than my Niflheim phase (which is as good as it'll get without spending huge sums on it). Elemental prof is 160, almost 90% of my level here, I'm about as well geared as a Niflheim mage can get at this level without being a ridiculous Hath baron.

So, is there a breakthrough point where the fresh hordes of 70% Cold resist troll monsters stop being so much of an issue (though I do really enjoy laughing at max Chaos upgraded Dragonkin like hitokiri's), or should I just stick my Nif set on ice for a while and join the Dark side?

Just picked this up as an arena reward.

I'm not sure if this the right place to check, but so far as I can tell, this exceeds the projected maximum for magnificent in accuracy, evade and EDB as shown here. Am I misreading it, is this new information, and/or has the update somehow impacted roll boundaries?

While I'm here: rough guesses at its likely sale price? It looks like it's rolled really well in the key areas, although I'm not a mage and wouldn't know if the great-but-not-fantastic INT/WIS hurts it any. Not that I'll be able to put it up for sale until after I get back from holiday.

At the moment I'm able to reach around wave 70/80 before I run out of mana on Hard Grindfest. Would it be better to do Grindfest on a higher difficulty at the cost of reduced rounds? (for less stamina usage and/or other reasons?)

If you just want to level up, it's better to do hourly battles on BT or IWBTH.
At your level I believe I level up 5-10 level daily from arena&hourly battles alone

Do you expect us to give you advice when we dont know your ability stats? We may be experts, but we aint omniscient

Assuming you already took all key buff/debuffs and filled all tanks, including OC Boost, the only abilities left worth taking are EXP tanks, Soul Harvest, and Absorb, then fill out Resistance (starting with Soul > Divine/Forbidden > Elemental)

Come to the Dark side, you will love it. There is a reason why there aint many elemental mages past level 200.
