QUOTE(Evil Scorpio @ Dec 14 2012, 23:36) Read this, it may help: HentaiVerse Advicesive already read the thread, it doesent answer the main question though, which one is better, one has to be better, from what ive gathered so far melee is better until you get to higher lvs, but i wanted to ask the experts, also as a side note should i buy stuff on the forums instead of the bazzar? seems like i can get much better items for cheaper also as a side note how useful are skills like weaken it seems like its better to just attack and kill monsters in 2-3 turns than weaken them, unless they are bosses, seems like a waste of points also another thing is it better to wear light armor instead of heavy so i can use cure and protection more as a melee class This post has been edited by mastaninja: Dec 14 2012, 23:58

Neither sides are "better" than one another, and there are reasons both sides have their own fanbase, even those in level 400+. Internet speed, for example, means you will be forced to play mage because it takes to long to load and reload each action for melee. Or you will be forced to play melee because the next monster lab buff will make custom monsters even more powerful. There are so many factors, so it does not matter, it all comes down on your personal preference. Most of the time WTS have more useful equipments that you need, but that dont mean they will be any cheaper than bazaar. Nor you would expect to find anything useful in bazaar at any time (99% it will not be there when you actually need to buy one). For spells like Weaken, you normally wont use them even in Heroic, but in IWBTH, you would want Silence and Weaken for 501th and Lisi (you wont encounter them until 200+). At your level, though, you only need them for Bosses and Giant-type. For starter, you might want to wear Light to minimize mana issue. Heavy is also viable but prepare to use alot of Superior Mana potions This post has been edited by Coma: Dec 15 2012, 00:04

another question, how much more damage do you think a ethereal weapon does on average more than the same quality weapon? is it worth dropping a quality or two for ethereal, what about elemental weapons

Crushing damage does lot less due the abundance of giants, piercing and slashing are relatively ok, for single target enemies better as elemental than ethereal. Elemental is very important for 1h-weapons, but doesn't matter nearly as much with 2h - though you'd want holy/dark for girls possibly.

QUOTE how useful are skills like weaken it seems like its better to just attack and kill monsters in 2-3 turns than weaken them, unless they are bosses, seems like a waste of points I started doing IWBTH houlies and the simpler arenas being exactly your level and I can assure you without weaken I would have had lost a fair amount of them. I have not regretted maxing it. Man, level 36 feels like so long ago... so carefree... without 1,9k crits around... nor so heavy mana issues... hmm that answers some of my question but not all, theres no resistance to void right, so is it worth say dropping from superior to fine if the weapon is ethereal, assuming the same stats

There are two levels of mitigation - specific/elemental type and generic physical/magical mitigation. Void ignores the first but is still affected by the generic one.

mastaninja: Yeah, because if it has the same stats it does the same damage. "Crude" to "Superior" means only the average roll it has, a "Fine" weapon can perform far better than "Superior" one. "Exquisite", "Magnificent" and "Legendary" receive 5%, 10% and 20% bonus on all rolls, which are already shown - a good magnificent can beat a bad legendary in nearly all respects.

How do Energy Drinks work? Do they fill your stamina all the way or is it a fixed amount?

I searched Ebony in the equipment thread. However, the result is limited to first 1000 and the latest thread I got is from one year ago. How to find the latest result I want? I need your help.

search -> Search by Keywords (ebony) Restrict to Forums -> WTS Search posts from -> 30 days and newer Result Type -> Show results as posts

Thanks for your reply, varst (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Well, I can search properly in the WTS forum. But I have problems searching in this single topic named "The Equipment Thread"(https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showtopic=20466). The results given is limited to first 1000, most of equipments shown were too old and out of date. What to do to find the latest result in the topic?

You may have to use more keywords, like 'ebony staff of destruction'. I don't have any better method, unfortunately. Aura won't be a great disadvantage. And you shouldn't buy from bazaar till you know what actually worths more than its bazaar value. It's better to spend your credits in WTS instead. This post has been edited by varst: Dec 15 2012, 15:00

O great and powerful hentaiVerse experts, could someone please post a quick rundown on what the current market value on non-equipment items and currencies are? How many credits do hath and energy drinks and blah blah blah go for?
Thank you very much!
P.S. I hope this isn't anywhere obvious, I can't find it anyways.
