This will help you keep track of your hourlies so you don't have to worry about it.

Scripts help a lot, you should check them out.

For estoc: How's your luck holding up with Noodlies?
Mantra: Sacrifices. That butcher or slaughter bindings aren't enhancing your STR.
Nottle: I personally think it is best to collect 1 of a category and salvage the rest.

This sounds like a great idea. Editing a post doesn't bump the thread does it.
Out of curiosity, are you IWing like a madman at 0 stam to stay at that level?

Also I think I once asked you what you meant when you said shade +DW doing arena and IW gets 'better results' than heavy + 2h and you never answered XD If it's not too much trouble I'd like to hear your opinion.

No, as close to 79 stam as possible. You get more riddlemasters as your stam decreases, which is bad for speed as long as you have surplus of mana. Big part is good old laziness (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Where did I say it? DW is better than 2h for 5- monster arenas though.....And I've always associated DW with shade for some reason.

PK: Small ping+No-Victory-popup+I used the old keybinds script and scrapped it down to bare bones and removed searching in favor of old quickbar2-style calling+rest(gem, turns, rounds, HP/MP warning, etc) all css+lot and lot of practice. For example, when I found out I can use numpad on laptop my speed jumped by significant amounts. Unsure if I could go bit faster in pure casting on same target if I just remapped alt to something comfortable.
(Also, you really want to minimize your scripts, just saying; you don't want to see the victory popup most of the time on an ok day).

HV STAT has options to track hourlies and arena cooldown, but I have yet to see a single alert. Any idea if I need to have HV open when it occurs or should it notify me whenever I next load the site? Been using it for at least a week now.

You pretty certainly need to have HV open from what I know of jquery.
I just use a firefox plugin that displays clickable timers on status bars for hourlies and auctions.

A DW+shade user who does arenas and IW will get better results than estoc+power user who does just the arenas.(Also, it IS a game)

This is where you said it.

As for the 5-monster arenas, do you mean 60,65,70 and 90? In both theorycrafting and practice I don't see how DW is faster. I do have waaaaaaaaay more 2h prof though, and not even the 2nd skill for DW. I assume frenzied blows is what makes the difference.

Not frenzied, just DW does a lot more damage and is faster when most of the rounds are <5 monsters. I would say up to fresh meat or something around there. In IWBTH, I can kill most non-bestiary monsters in 4 hits with spirit stance, depending on when PA procs from offhand. Even those like 501st don't take more than 8 or so hits unless I get parried like mad (less if you care to save OC for iris strike and backstab, which I don't) Frenzied blows only play a major role against single targets like schoolgirl runs or FSM. I've found it doesn't do enough damage to warrant all the OC wasted when PA isn't on every monster.

I think you missed the context there. A DW (which is usually slower than 2H) user that does arena+IW will get better results, as in credits/equip/prof/etc, than a 2H user that only does arenas.
That's how I read it.

Rather 5- monster per round in total, the ones you mentioned start with 5. So DW will be better in the very first ones (doesn't matter there anyways) and the schoolgirl ones; relatively low monster count per round but single high hp ones in each.

Aha, ok. My main confusion was misunderstanding what he meant by 5-monster arena I guess.

As for IWing, I tried both and actually figured that I received more credits from arenas, although I received slightly more prof from IW. I also got better equip from IW but nothing that I'd use or sell anyway, so I stuck with arenas.

I've had it for less than 5 days actually but I'm already addicted. And have you seen that estoc? That's going to sell for at the very least 5m in auction.

good estoc, but too bad it is '2H'. 2H and/or heavy things won't tempt me atm. i'm still waiting my time when i can use frenzy properly. 134 OC is enough, but not good enough.

QUOTE(varst @ Dec 5 2012, 04:09) *

When I wrote that advice, I calculated the stats; it's around lv. 100 when you can reach 100% accuracy. Since it's easier to reach lv.100 nowadays, I think it should be better to go with that number. Whether to use balance weapon seems to be a bit of debate: while DWers prefer to use slaughter in mainhand, 2Her may find the balance weapons better because of the accuracy bonus. I would like to have other's opinions here (especially those around that level).
- I don't really like using negation/arcanist since they do absolutely nothing. Either shade of fleet/shadowdancer or kevlar of protection.
And why do you use club in the offhand? It's better to use rapier/dagger for the parry.
Or better, try 2H.
- At your level, don't aim for good equips to drop; buktore gives you a good idea on how you should balance your trainings, but still you won't get much even from IWBTH. It's better to focus on leveling and getting more credits for now.

- No, I don't think any of your equips should get any IW.

i didn't quite remember that time. the only thing i remember is just i made things as simple as possible 'doing more damage without sacrificing acc'. which led me to use elemental dagger/slaughter and dagger/balance as offhand. club/balance has ~50% acc of dagger/slaughter.
some example, maybe not a good one:
http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=29220bae92
http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...ey=73fe894e52(i think i get this one for free, i forgot)
and using shade set help a lot around that lvl, even if its not fleet/shadowdancer. so i can dump a great loads of credit on awesome things in my sig. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
i mean it doesn't matter what suffix(shade/power) your gears have as long as you'll replace it soon, just find the cheapest one which give 'preferably' more damage, acc, STR, DEX(my old gears mostly only have STR SEX AGI pab), and save money. at that lvl i just think about doing more damage, screw PMI because my DW can 1 hit/kill everything on normal. moreover, IWBTH RE will be 'very' slightly easier if you have good gears at that lvl (which you won't due to lack of money). and doing normal arena and IWBTH RE are enough to drag me to lv100. additional little amount of money and still fast-leveling.
main focus:
1. acc/damage
2. STR/DEX
3. screw all other stats
then start looking and/or waiting for a good sup/(preferably)ex after beating lv100 RoB (the least amount of money needed to buy some real good gears, not a starter one).

There's a few shops that sell superior gear of all types for around 3k or less. Easy way to get passable gear.

okay, am I screw up or it's just playing preference? For new shade equipment(before I use arcanist and now want to change to fleet or shadowdancer), first thing i see is endurance and I don't care agility and inteligence.

As you can see, for now I try to build it rather balanced(atrength&endurance first priority; agility&wisdom second priority). Or should I build it differently?

For battle right now I just facerolling in heroic dificulty for arena with more than 20 rounds(haste+regen and occasionally cure). For bellow 5 round arena, I start use staff to grind divine proficiency on IWBTH.

Edit:entering my weapon stat on my level(I color damage mitigation on blue for more easy reading/tell apart)

my advice : to @t15

1. No Mace , use estoc or Axe+Rapier
2. get Heavy Armour (you will struggle at the time u reach lvl 200+ if u do not have great (Legendary) light armour like Evil and aura)
3. Invest some more abilty points on Str and End (End is more imp if you ask me than Intelligence)

Rgds.

for irvin

this might help you : http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Item_World

Why have any points at all in INT. The magic damage is worthless for melee. It makes your Spell Cost/MP Regen ratio worse. It only does more magic damage.

need a formula to calculate the pxp item on defined level.

If you're at lv.0, you can simply calculate the PXP on defined level by

PXP(x) = PXP(1) * ((1 + PXP(1)/1000)^(x-1))

where PXP(x) is the amount of PXP to get from lv. x-1 to lv. x

If unfortunately you don't know PXP(1), there's still a way to approximate that
1. Note the number of IW rounds for that equip.
2. Number of Item World Rounds = 200 * (Equip's quality) ^ 2
Use this to obtain Item's approximate quality.
3. Quality = (PXP - 100) / 250
Use this to calculate the approxmiate PXP(1). Now you should be able to get the approximate PXP required for other levels without solving quad. equations.

It also gives 0.1 base SP per point of INT. And it won't increase your spell cost since it depends on your level, not MP.

1. I was adviced to use mace a few pages back(for stun, I believe)
2. It's was more like playing style. I believe there are people success using shade light armour(unless I'm wrong? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) ).
I know use heavy armour and automate protect will be comfortable(throw in haste if you have enough IA). But I just don't feel comfortable with burden and interference heavy armour have. And the thought of using featherweight everytime and price for good power armour just.....
3. ok, i will adjust it

thanks.
and another question, how about full pxp needed include previous lvl, like:
PXP(10) = PXP(1) * ((1 + PXP(1)/1000)^(10-1)) + PXP(1) * ((1 + PXP(1)/1000)^(9-1)) + PXP(1) * ((1 + PXP(1)/1000)^(8-1)) + ... + PXP(1) * ((1 + PXP(1)/1000)^(1-1)) = something simple
