I think because he doesn't have enough AP to collect every tier spell there is, hence he jumps to the highest tier for maximum damage. But do take note, higher tier spells take crapload of time to cast. Making you skip more turns that advisable. ( --)

No, 1.0 and 1.1 isn't much of a difference. I haven't seen 1.1 take more time than 1.0 (which is displayed in HV). Maybe in battletoads where everyone has capped speed. I don't want to talk much about this right now, but it's crap advice. If you can one shot everyone with a tier 2 elec minus the resists, you shouldn't go for electric then fire tier 1. That takes 2x speed, the same (if not more due to rounding) mp, and gives you more damage.
You don't want tier 3 in a regular battle b/c it's overkill and it uses too much mana.

I would remove the holy spells, and fill both elec/fire tiers first, then with or without the ratings (you choose) fill the highest tiers of holy, ice, and fire(once you got the next tier), for the bosses. (unless you want to take forever yo kill them).
Wind (only for konata is weak), and soul are dispensable.
Absorb is completely irrelevant for grind or even arenas, because it will rarely trigger, unless for bigger mobs (which is still irrelevant in arenas until To kill a god), or higher difficulties like battletoads or somethnig, were you get hit with special attacks often.

One last question though. When should I stop training ability boost? I mean at some point it's obviously better to use artifacts right? But they're random.. with what? 1/3 chance of getting AP? So when is a good time to stop investing in ability boost and take your chances at the shrine?

I stopped at 50 (roughly 20.000C), the chance of getting AP is the same as hath, and closer to 1/2 than you think, especially when you have a lot of attribute points bonus already.

Yes true, but if you don't sell hath, I wouldn't count with hath.
Plus you're setting as getting ~2333C per hath, which isn't like that.

Not sure what you meant about advice, I did "not" advice him to learn tier 3 spells. I just merely explained his "probable" reasonings for learning tier 3 to you. Basically I am guessing why he is doing that. I didn't mean he should do it.

Unless my english has gone down the gutter and I am mistaken in what you are trying to say about my post.

In short, I responded to your post because you asked WHY he would want to learn tier 3 before tier 1&2, I'm just saying he is PROBABLY skipping the lower tiers in mistake for thinking he wants highest firepower as possible without using as much AP. I DIDN'T mean to justify his actions, I was MERELY explaining is actions.

just met a lvl 38 Mithra along with 3 other normal monsters during the 2nd round of grindfest. i have no issue defeating the 3 normal monsters with ease but lost to the almost 6k hp Mithra. my holy attack only does 100 to 200 damage to it so naturally i got beaten by it.

anyone advise on how to defeat it if i happen to chance upon it again?

Yea, use Purge (Holy AOE) on it. Condemn does too little damage.

I simply Purged mithras out of my way. Until I run out of mana. Coalscend mana really saves the day.

I need about 200-300 mana to kill a boss. In normal battles.

Mithra is about 7000-9000HP at my level. Purge does 500-700 damage a shot (You need to max out purge, one point in purge isn't going to do anything) and crits for about 900 or so.

Afterthought, I assume you are using pure mage equipment. If you aren't, I advise you to use PA and THEN use Purge to maximize damage.

just reached lvl 40 and i have no idea where to allocate my future APs. should i do purge or increase fire and elec rating or something else? what about poison, weaken, sleep, slow and haste? when should i start allocating them?

You need poison, and most likely weaken. Regarding attack spells, I can't say much, because I'm testing builds and I can't really comment on attack spells.

You should start training depreciating spells. Because once you get to level 50 and want to fight ROB, your depreciating proficiency will REALLY suck balls. I don't think I would've won without all the buffs + debuffs active at the same time.

Ok a idiot question,how much can cost a LEGENDARY item ? do you have something like that ? lol i gave 3 tropies and max got fair and noteven worth it ? LE has to be good for something,i dont whant to work with speel i need raw power ^^

Ok, besides Tenboro (who generates his own items if he wanted to), I believe only evilpanda has the only Legendary item to this date. I don't think even hito has Legendary, at most Magnificent.

If I am wrong, my sincere apologies to those who also own Legendary, but I'm pretty sure there shouldn't be that many out there.


To be on your point, a lot of SUPERIOR weapons actually can get pretty good 'rolls' on stats. So you should keep an eye out for good superior weapons.

Superior weapons with a good roll can beat Exquishit equipment, so yea.



Big rant over, Legendary is priceless. That's the same as having Magnificent Ethereal weapon of epic win. No one's going to sell it.

Only magnificent. Tenb has 1 legendary oak staff, and that was from 40 mysterious boxes, of which 59 was distributed (and are priceless).

i was thinking there should be at least near 1k LE items out there,i registered last year and did not play much,so i was thinking there would be some out there and cost near a artifact price ^^'
