QUOTE(Thanos008 @ Jul 27 2010, 20:29) I am only two or three levels away from "To Kill A God," where I will be, I'll hazard a wild guess - facing a God. For those of you who have fought this battle as both Mage and Warrior, which setup was easier for you -and, perhaps more importantly: what Equipment setup did you employ in each instance?? (I am also asking questions because, even though I'm in all Cloth and a Mage right now.....an increasing number of the monsters are getting in Double Hits all of a sudden, and for no apparent reason that I can think of. They're starting to hurt.) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) I've done it both ways and I prefer PA combos to nuking them with a weakness. Getting to the last round is easy as a mage, but not as easy to kill the arena Big Bad. QUOTE(Boggyb @ Jul 27 2010, 18:37) I've fought legendaries in IW. Not recently, but I've fought them.

QUOTE(cmal @ Jul 27 2010, 23:34) You can't fight Legendaries outside of the Ring and Arenas.
Except that the distinction between "Bosses" and "Legendaries" was pretty much invented by the players. Read what your character settings screen has to say about them... All you need to do is try out your various setups in the Ring of Blood. As it happens, I fought Mikuru, Ryouko and Yuki just the other day using my normal Arena setup (a mix of Elementalist/Heaven-sent, no special mitigation) because I was curious as to whether they were going to present a challenge... and defeated all three quite easily, if rather slowly compared with DW. OK, Spark triggered twice against Ryouko, but I have plenty of slots for Spirit restoratives. As for the monsters getting double hits, that's to be expected. It's due to your speed (with Haste) being capped at 200, while they're still getting faster.

I mistook the "Gods" with the Legendaries, because of the whole "To Kill a GOD" title, and I actually thought that I was going to have to fight FSM, IPU, or RL at the end of the gauntlet. As it is, I find Ryuko and Mikuru and whats-her-face not that hard to fight as it is -I just don't have the skills, yet, to fight through an 80-round gauntlet as a Warrior or maybe I still have to get the right equipment). As a side note: Why does Tenboro feel the need to stop our Speed at 200? Is this a programming thing, and it would be too complicated or messy in coding terms to just let the Spd. attribute keep increasing?? This post has been edited by Thanos008: Jul 28 2010, 06:45

Probably just a hard cap that he designed the game formulas around. I don't think Tenboro expected many people to get that high in level before he could put in enough things. Like why there are missing ability trees. And why the post-Trio arenas are shit.

I assume it has something to do with the fact that if I had 300 action speed, I could possibly attack indefinitely. QUOTE(cmal @ Jul 27 2010, 21:41) And why the post-Trio arenas are shit.

hito hates them, as well. They're uninspired and tedious. "Oooh, spend half the arena killing some shit mobs then spend the other half chipping away at wave after wave of Legendaries." One of these days, when I feel like torturing myself for no benefit, I'll sit down and try another run at EoD

It's decent credits if you can do it fast enough.

Is End of Days possible to beat with a Warrior setup?
I can imagine running out of Mana at some point..

Until now only 2 know persons beated EoD, Hito and Boggyb. Boggyb only can beat it with mage setup, and although Hito didn't say anything, I bet he can only beat it by maging as well. Well blame the IW, before that only guys with special auras could level up decently. Newcomers will never understand the pain it was to level up with only endless Grindfest challenges, aside the dairy arenas. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jul 28 2010, 15:50

I don't use IW to level up.

yeah, but you have special auras, good incoming credits/hath also helped, plus higher arenas, specially the +Sealed Power ones. Now try to level up from 0 to level 150 fast without any of these things. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jul 28 2010, 17:36

QUOTE(tmihor @ Jul 28 2010, 16:43) I got a question. Which one of these two robes is better? Fine Phase Robe of the ElementalistFine Phase Robe of FenrirI need to sell one. For general maging propose? Stick with the elementalist one. If melee stick the the fenrir one if you haven't a better robe. IMO Fenrir is only useful for IPU This post has been edited by cmdct: Jul 28 2010, 17:49

No one ever uses dark for anything, so the Elementalist robe is better. That, however, also means that very few people would want the Fenrir robe.

I did most of my leveling with Arenas and GF. I only use IW to level my equipment since I'm not likely to find good replacements.

I have a question concerning item drops. Looking at training you're able to level various types of items to increase the chance of said item to drop.
The thing I noticed is that monsters only drop one item if they do drop an item. So my question is, does leveling up one drop chance of a certain item lower the chances of getting other types of items?
Like if I level Loot drop % will it ultimately lower my chances of getting armor because the loot has a better chance of taking that one spot?
Karma+ for person who will help me with this, although it will only be around 60-70 points ^^;

Loot is all drops. Training Scavenger will increase all your drops.

QUOTE(Rei-Tenshi @ May 19 2010, 09:43) Just wanted to make sure about the base drop rates and their upgrades:
Base Drop: 5.00% , 1 Scavenger level = +0.10% -------- Consumable: 98% Equipment: 2.00% , 1 Quartermaster level = +0.10%, -0.10% consumable drop Artifact: 0.20%, 1 Archaeologist level = +0.02%, -0.02% consumable drop
This is a good example how it works, although the numbers are just an example I think.

Heard that. I may be a low level, but I have been around for a while (before IW). Its both a good thing and a bad thing that its limited to 10/day IMO.
