QUOTE(buktore @ Jul 4 2010, 20:48) Remember when you said that I should stop talking about the games mechanic in this thread, kamui? I was talking exactly about the OC boost and its effect on melee damage... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Take note that OC boost do very little for the huge amount of AP it required. Plan to switch to mage? if not, why so high INT? Yes,yes I'm an idiot for not reading what you were posting ~_~' Also, I am planning to switch to mage. I think when I get x-magic I will definitely switch. QUOTE(cmdct @ Jul 4 2010, 20:41) Maybe but if that piece is enough to save elixirs, you don't lose credits. I spend over 300k, but I recovered about 200k in 5 days of 10xIW just because of it, of course the months I used them before, made me recover much more.
Edit: I can make 30k only with daily arenas.
Well, I don't really "waste" elixirs. I haven't once bought a single elixir, yet I have 100+ health elixirs, 70+ mana elixirs and 50+ spirit elixirs atm. They drop like candy in IW. Also, I don't make much money from either arena or grindfests. I usually do a long ass cakefest or a very short battletoads fest. Arenas don't pay too much either. I get most money from selling artifacts. I save up and sell them in bulk. Just makes it so much more satisfying when you get 500k lol.

Rich bastards.
I paid 30k for my entire heavy+silk, 2 sets of armor.
I'm fine with the bare minimum, I don't need to one shot everything in sight lol
Welcome to highlevel gameplay. The higher you get the easier it becomes to farm credits.

Maybe but them you waste hours in training because of that, besides like Ichy said more you level up more credits you can make. Well sell the 9 artifacts for 10k them. (I won't give the gear of course) This post has been edited by cmdct: Jul 4 2010, 20:15

Not really, I'm always training. Whenever I run out of cash, I usually have ~20-30 artifacts on hand and I just sell them then. That way is less efficient though, because I train different things, when something becomes to expensive, I'll train something else. But either way, I don't waste time. Tristar doesn't have nothing to do with. +EndGame arenas and their trophies, plus you can play farther in higher settings good quality IW which helps a lot. This post has been edited by cmdct: Jul 4 2010, 20:25

Tristar gives me 1k each day. Daily arenas + selling arena junk give me 30 - 50k sometimes even more. Tristar is awesome for the exp boost (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE(Ichy @ Jul 4 2010, 21:27) Tristar is awesome for the exp boost (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) That's what I was talking about. Because you have the tristar, you get more xp. More xp - higher level, higher level - more creds. Also, 1k per day is damn good. I get 5 credits and 100xp from dawn of a new day. It's completely useless. This post has been edited by [Cheater] KamuiSeph: Jul 4 2010, 20:33

QUOTE(cmdct @ Jul 5 2010, 01:05) No, well it's good alright, but when the gear were nerfed, the existent gear were also nerfed, it's not like what happened in 4.0 were the ranges were fixed, and the old gear remained unchanged.
Oh, I see.. Thanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Still, I believe that there must be something that make it different from current gears, even after the nerfed.. for example: This LV 124 gauntlet have 9.54 slash mit... Both this gauntlet and this greaves also have a very good overall mit relative to the usual drop today. This post has been edited by buktore: Jul 4 2010, 20:43

Ok Im definitely doing something wrong here. While Grinding away today I just met a Dalek and I used EVERYTHING on that stupid boss and I still lost. We're talking about me with full HP, MP and SP, I started off penetrating his ass and spirit attacking and that did 2000+ HP dmg but it only shaved off maybe 1% of his HP bar. And my regular attacks did 100-200 dmg each which shaved off a microscopic bit of the bar and I lost after using up all my mana and all potions on my belt. Good god I definitely cannot beat any of the bosses in Grindfest let alone the Arena. I have a Fine Rapier and Im at level 28 and that Dalek was Level 26-27 I think. I definitely need to change my strategy. I'm having a hard enough time on mobs as it is. Should I be getting into that cloth/heavy thing? I was thinking of spending the creds for it now. Maybe I should boost some points in weakness if I can cast spells again...

What difficulty were you playing at? What round was it? Bosses can be difficult if you can't mitigate their special attacks with Bewilder or Silence. Bosses get easier as you level up. You should consider knocking the difficulty down if you're getting your ass handed to you so much. They're there for a reason.

What´s the best way to raise my proficiencies? I´ve tried perma-montaging for about two and a half weeks, that can´t be the best way, can it?

For melee: People suggest doing Flismy IW's on Battletoads (I've never done it) For magic: Spam spells. Spam them hard. Keep on spamming them. Never stop spamming them.

Grinding and spamming. Montage is sorta useless in its current form (Tenboro wants to do big things with it, but its still on his To Do List). Your proficiencies will tend to lag behind more the faster you level. Cast a cheap spell once per round ever round. Go into a low-level arena and spam a cheap spell until you run out of mana, finish the arena, rinse and repeat. Its worked for me, and I've nearly maxed every proficiency.

For magic prof: Get a bunch of mana potions, set them to auto equip on every slot. Equip a spell that costs the least amount of mana for the type of magic you want to train (weaken for deprecating, shield for supportive, etc) Go into grindfest on cake, kill off every mob and leave 1 alive. You should be on round 1 with 1 weak mob sitting there. Now cast those spells like crazy, take potions, cast, potions, cast. When you run out of potions, flee. Repeat ad infinitum For fighting style/armor prof: get a flimsy high lvl item, set difficulty to cake and spam away in item world. I've noticed that difficulty has no impact on how much prof you get. Therefore, doing it on cake is the easiest way.

For non-damage spells, you can also try equipping a staff and hope for CM to proc (really good if you've been keeping your INT/WIS at decent levels). Half-cost spells means you can cast that many more spells. There are times when I can get a perma-CM up, and I'm not even a mage or wearing mage gear.

Oh yeah, thanks. Forgot to mention that. I used that with weaken, saved me soooo many potions.
