WHat makes it such that mage is hit harder than melee?

I am interpreting that question as "Why do mages hit harder than melee?"
Because under the current build magic is set up to do more damage than physical attacks.

SV is really important now for light melees for sure.

Completed "To Kill A God" on IWBTH, spent 2 godly mana and spirit pots.

But not as much as you think. 550k for a Fine Ethereal Longsword of Slaughter is ridiculous, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

That thing's ADB 72, about 5 points from max. The rest of the line up is very appealing as well. And the high ADB will make the bleed quite appealing, actually.

Not what I meant. I'm saying that whatever value piotr012 thinks, it's lower. He's pricing his stuff way too high.

Also, 2m minimum? Ichy sold a much better superior ethereal scythe of slaughter at auction for 1.1m. This is worth less than that, seeing as its stats are all lower, bleed is still nerfed, and its lower level.

I have 60 hath right now. Should i wait for Black aura or should i spend it right away for innate arcana?

Haste on IA is too useful not to get.

spark of life on IA is practically essential when it comes to doing hourly on IWBTH.

is absorb at all useful?
I can't tell if monsters cast spell or not
no SP attacks yet because I dont see the third bar
if you cast it would it likely to absorb for the duration of the spell?

you'll want it when you are over level 100

Absorb is completely useless. Being attacked with a magic is quite rare. Most monsters skills do physical damage.
I tried using it. I gave up after using it for like 20 times and it was hit just twice and expired 18 times :/
I don't even use it against bosses, since it's better to just cast silence that blocks both magical and spiritual attacks.

Protection/Shadow veil spells are much more useful.

Does scroll of life cost spirit?
