Just wondering, is the action speed shown in "derived attributes" counts as the base speed?

DW still work for marathon (non-dragon, at least). But eth estoc work almost just as well, if not better...
In the past, the girls used to have more HP and the normal monster has much lower HP, so your only concern was about how fast you can kill the girls, and since both PA and Stun give a similar dmg bonus, DW is an obvious choice.
Nowadays, most of the dmg came from PA, and normal mobs is becoming quite a nuisance to kill now but the girls HP is much lower. So DW is not that good anymore...
And of course, 2H is much simpler to play.
Another strong point of DW is to be able to use infusion + skill to do huge dmg. But now...

Well, DW still has one more strong point: when you use Club+Rapier - you have Stun, so girls or other monsters can't hit you often, and that's useful, especially if you go through them on something much higher than Normal (but actually I have no idea why people do it, except powerleveling) and trying to save some mana by using only SS in IA or no IA spells at all. no... its the action speed you get after all the PAB, aura, etc...

According to the formula: Action Speed = 100 + AGI / 3 My action speed = 100 + 583 / 3 = 294.33 Somehow the displayed figure is 294.5 in the "derived attributes". Haste increased speed by 50%, so I have capped my action speed? This post has been edited by MidNightPass: Jun 6 2012, 17:43

you must have forgotten to include the agi from artifacts and equipment.
the agi you used to calculate should be the black number plus the grey number and the red number.
alternatively, you can scroll down the stats panel on the right to get your total agi.

I used the figures on the right panel to calculate the speed. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

100 + ( 583 / 3 ) = 194.33333333333333333333333333333 anyway, mine is 100 + 243 / 3 = 181.0, which is the same as the derived action speed.

So arena = do on highest difficulty you can, rob = normal?
What are reasons to do other rob besides gods? Why schoolgirl runs?
Also, why single weapon+shield no love? seems that the high block rate should be useful.

RoB is best done on IWBTH (for the loot bonus). FSM is probably the only one worth doing. IPU is another option if you have tokens to spare. Schoolgirl marathons are mainly done for the trophies (~50 on average for doing all five of them).

also look at the amount of time you can spend and how much stamina you want to use arenas on higher levels give more exp, credits and better drops RoB on normal if you want the trophy but IWBTH-BT gives you a better chance of a good drop but if you don't have time to clear all your arenas on a high setting try and finish them all on a setting that is fast for you. you will then get more tokens and the credit clear bonus. schoolgirls are done for trophies or exp. clearing them on normal can be fast but you get 2x the exp on hard for the same time spent. doing them on higher settings will get you a lot more exp.

in all fights, it's suggested you do the difficulty you're comfortable with. people simply suggest normal because if you're clearing something for the first time, you don't *know* how difficult it'll be so normal is best choice since it's easiest.
i'm guessing that you misunderstood what a schoolgirl run is. the school girl runs are these 5 specific arenas:
End of Days The Twilight Beyond the Clouds Eternal Darkness A Dance with Dragons
weapon+shield has no love because it has the slowest killing speed besides bare hands/staff melee

Small question about proficiencies. Were prof-bonuses listed in wiki kept unchanged after last patch?
I mean... +1 agility for every 10 points of Light Armor prof are looking quite funny right now, while almost every armor piece can easily give you +5~+10.
Added I see, thanks!

Have been wondering how long it take to recharge your Karma Power. I looked in EHWiki - Karma which says QUOTE Each time you imbue someone with Karma, your Karma Power will temporarily be drained (this has no effect on your actual Power). Karma Power regenerates at a rate of 0.5% per minute and it will never drop below 1. Does this mean that it always takes 3 hours and 20 minutes to completely recharge? Is there a way to make sure Karmic Exhaustion doesn't kick in when you imbue somebody? It's a two way street so it isn't enough to check UCP - Karma. Imbuing Karma correctly can be quite a pain. Karma Notifier is very nice but not especially useful as to find out that your Karma Bar is full you must refresh a page in the forum where you have posted until you get a pop-up. Something like HV Random Encounter Notification would be nice that counts down to full Karma Power. Combined with Quick Karma Imbuing Script and a way to avoid Karma Exhaustion would be ideal. LangTuTaiHoa is apparently behind all this scripts for which I am sincerely grateful. I know that not many care about Karma but I do and hopefully somebody else who reads this and have more programming skills then I.

Thanks for the reply all. To me, schoolgirls = rob's konata! and misc. I asked weapon+shield is pertaining to boss runs. its because ppl were saying use DW for boss runs, but I was thinking weapon+shield = much safer/tankier.
I going to try and get a good non ethereal estoc and see how it goes.
