At what level should I be starting to play in IWBTH. Because I'm only able to make it to round 9 or so in IWBTH.

what is the rush? If you can do arenas on IWBTH great but BT would be faster you are more likely to finish them.

If you want to do GF or CF on IWBTH and can only get to 10 rounds you are way better off blasting your way on hard to 100 rounds or more.

I finished my first run of EOD yesterday.

I am wondering if the 10% trophy drop each round is given at the end of the very round or at the end of the whole arena? Is it announced to you?

Because I didn't see any trophy drop during the run except the 100% drop from the final round. I assume they were rewarded unnoticed, but it's also possible that I'm so sucked I didn't get any...

They drop just like regular trophies, you were just unlucky.

When browsing the WTS/WTB sections, i often see items marked as "nearMax", "maxRoll" and such.

I use the HV Equipment calculator to quickly see the base values as well as how close they are to being the highest possible value for a given item.

With the often updated equipment ranges, (updated by the totally awesome SkillChip and of course all of us who report stats outside the currently known range), this kinda blur the idea of a maxRoll or nearMax.

I see stuff for sale marked as having max baseroll, yet they are sometimes at less than 80% of their derived max.
Of course this can and will happen as the equipment ranges are frequently updated, but even then something being a maxRoll or nearMax should not be as low as 80%, especially not a "maxRoll".
The changes to the equipment ranges are, as far as i know, rather small, not something that would cause an item with a baseroll thought of as being the highest possible, end up at less than 90% of the new known maximum.

anyways, what i was wondering about is, What do you guys consider a nearMax or maxRoll?

Personally, i'd say a maxRoll is anything at or over 98%, giving a little leeway for any possible rounding or minor update to the known ranges.
I'd consider it nearMax if the baseroll is anywhere over 90%.

Sure a roll of 80% is not a low or insignificant roll, but it is in no way "nearly the highest possible roll".

Something truly has max roll. I always laugh when I see someone claiming their equips to be overmax without refering to any tier type.

With light, you die too easily so you need a mace to keep everything stunned. With heavy, you already have enough survivability in the form of physical mitigation, so you can just go for straight damage.

As for DW, you should look for a high % stun ethereal club, preferably of slaughter, and an ethereal rapier offhand, of slaughter as well if possible, otherwise of balance/nimble is ok too.

By the way, is this worth keeping? I don't think it is, but somehow the high wis and int bothers me a bit (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
