You'll need to invest a lot into fenrir/heimdall to make it work though, so people should have more preparation before they make the conversion.

Phase fox and gossamer are the cheap alternatives for fenrir/heimdall.

Most of the big investments in equipment (credits and Hath) are usually ethereal estocs/maces, Shade sets, and Phase Fenrir/Heimdall sets. Gossamer Demon-fiend/Heaven-sent sets are much cheaper and more available to use for mages.

It's okay to use gossamer when you're doing the conversion, but in the long term phases are still the best.

Decent power/shield armors are also very costly.

You don't need a Legendary Set of Heimdall/Fenrir and 630% EDB from the get-go, a crappy set with crappy EDB is perfectly acceptable at the beginning.
You're bound to run into some decent pieces sooner or later anyway, be it from drops or trophies.

You need to consider inference and burden and overall damage mitigation (Crushing), unless you have the shard.

Just tried IW on nightmare, with SD set and estoc...really dangerous lol

My crappy protection plate set (75% physical mitigation) with estoc looks sturdy.

Yes, the title's damage bonus also carries over to magic as well. Even though it dont show on your character's stat, but it still works.

Can mobs break out of sleep if they're damaged by poison?

It depends on your difficulty. Melees need more time to finish IW, though they can take that at high difficulty. Mages can rush through that, but you need to pick lower difficulty.

You should probably save till you can fight IWBTH FSM. That's the best chance to get very good equips AFAIK.

As for Trio, you should be able to finish that on normal difficulty at your level. If you can't, something has gone seriously wrong in your build.
Fox/owl build isn't that good now, so you should try collecting some good EDB phases if you want to play on high difficulty. Probably heimdall or fenrir as you're going to face EOD soon.

If you are going to play on high settings with light armor and try and go deep into runs I think you need a way to not get hit as much.

Using a mace can work.

Using FUS RO DAH can work

and even using SS but if you do that you'll still want each round to last longer so you can regain your overcharge before the next round.

I kind of like light armor more for lower settings in this patch.
