QUOTE(coffeecoffee @ May 25 2012, 00:53) Just grabbed a random Mace w/ 30% stun chance from Bazzar... omg... nothing beats the feeling of procing quad hits w/ quad stuns.. LMAO.. this is crazy XDDD
~Coffee
It should tell you how many turns enemies are stunned from the mace. Usually 2-4 turns. Be careful when enemies are out of the stun phase, they attack immediately after stun wears off.

...and that's why it's good to use Shadow Veil using mace - better chances of evading these consequences.

QUOTE(Coma @ May 25 2012, 03:20) Take Scythe for example, before the patch, it was the second-most favorite weapon choice, after Mace. This patch's nerf to bleed and 2hand skill change rendered scythe behind Estoc and Club+Rapier
Before the patch, Ox and Turtle generally are sold to bazaar, but this patch made them semi-godly by making up of your 70% mitigation, not to mention the huge HP and damage bonus came with them
Few patches ago, Focus staff was also bazaar bait, until mana conservation got introduced.
So we dont know what to keep and what to throw away until the patch changes. Though Specific Mitigation suffixes such as Thunder-Child and Stoneskin are absolute bazaar baits, maybe Battlecaster too
You will have to relearn the value of suffixes again whenever Tenb felt like to buff/nerf something
To get over 70% phy mitigation is easy with any heavy armor. Its when you get into the high 80s that you start to have fun. Battlecaster armor doesn't drop anymore so if you have any its rare and worth keeping

I haven't done a grindfest in a very long time. But its been posted that you can do BT-CF 500-800 or more rounds. And when I do IW-IWBTH I use Heavy and a 2hd weapon.

Ironically, we don't have the herpderpfreesuperXnerf called Shatter Strike anymore, yet somehow 2H become stronger than before... I don't know... Therefore Aliens. On one hand, I wanted to go make a rampant ragefest about how's everything is so broken now. But on the other hand, everything seem to be broken in a balance and equal manner... I would like to bitch about the mage's new-found power in this patch for example, but melee is more or less kinda broken by the same amount as well... It's hard to bitch about something in particular when everything is like this... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Meh. This post has been edited by buktore: May 25 2012, 16:58

My philosophy is: To improve something, rather than trying to 'improve' it, you fix its flaws. Like Niten for example... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) .... Oh well... In order to not make my post feel like just a chitchat, I might as well answering some question.QUOTE(coffeecoffee @ May 25 2012, 12:48) Does this mean.. heavy armor +2h weapon = uber sustainability at grindfest? o_o
IMO, good weapon is the first step for 'uber something'

QUOTE(Razorflame @ May 23 2012, 14:44) Yep, Normal. I probably could've done Hard if I really wanted to with the same method, it would just take longer. Only one mana potion used.
To confirm, I used the same exact method on FSM on Hard and it took maybe 20 turns longer, but I still used the same amount of Mana Potions. I did it by accident, too XD

Addition to base or else? Also, take an ox mace as an example, is the damage divided into two parts; i.e. 1. base damage 2. PAB bonuses?

It does what it say in the Forge: each upgrade add about 1% to the base stat. It's added directly to the numbers you saw in the EQ popup.
For the second question: Basically if you have a weapon with 1000 dmg and +100 STR, the final dmg of the weapon (that is, how much 'base dmg' you'll get when equipped) would be 1000 + (100 x 2) = 1200 ... If you upgrade both the weapon dmg and STR ten times for each stat (+10), the final dmg for the weapon would be about (1000*1.10) + (100*1.10 x 2) = 1320
At any rate... This is the second mace I spent like 40+ Slaughter binding on, and this mace didn't really have a particularly good stats either... (except for the stun rate). But like the old mace, it's good enough for me that I go ahead and upgrade it anyway... Material are meant to be use; keeping it for fear of wasting it and the feeling of regrets one might get if one happen to get a better thing, is irrational.
Just my 2 cent.

On the other hand, I feel my mace is good enough for me now. Not so easy to get a significantly better one with slaughter suffix. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

That's intended. Interpret the intention in whatever way you want to (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It's called 100% physical mitigation reduction from PA.

But then I realized after playing for a while that it would be more accurate to think that (almost) everything else got better, while club and mace remains the same. Just be happy that you're not a scythe user. That shit stinks so bad right now... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Has anyone played around with Fox staffs since the last patch? I have an Exquisite Fox that yields almost the same score as an Exquisite Destruction (with a difference of about ~100 points)
