@ varstStun and PA is all the thing melee really need. The aura thing is just my personal (albeit a rage inducing one (IMG:[

no effect as far as I'm concerned. Also, spent point just to gain further point faster doesn't make any sense IMO...
High-light the main point for you (IMG:[

EXP bonus do have some effect beofre lv. 200.
1. You get more arenas to clear. That's a good source for credits.
2. You have more AP to spend on the ability tree.

So what's the best way to raise staff prof. quickly since mine is very low? I'm trying to power-level to gain access to Regen II, Pestilence, and Nerf.
If you don't want to spend extra time on spamming, the other method is to incorporate more MM into your strategy. Using MM with staff will also raise your staff prof., and you can also save some mane for the 2nd/3rd spell.
But then prof is indeed a way to slow down power-leveling IMO, so there no real 'solution' to that.

As buktore have said, you can always choose to upgrade your equips, but I don't see any real need to do so right now.
Some fine-tuning suggestions:
1. Get some refined aura training. You've put your points into auras, but you don't have aura slot to get the effect. It's when you really need that refined aura.
2. As your armor seems okay, you may spend some credits on trainings, probably the ability boost and those four which alter drop chance. Save some credits though, so you may get some better equips when they're available.
3. Get a few deprecating spells. Probably weaken and silence, as they have been proven to be useful against a strong target. That's not a must though, so you may skip that.
