Felt like typing something... So here some random advice and opinion.
• I kinda want to say this since yesterday with the talk about FSM; the best deprecating spell for melee is Slow
• I don't know what's more 'efficient' ... But +1% crit is certainly more awesome than +xx% exp bonus.
--Why would anyone based their aura choice on anything beside the attribute and stat bonus, anyway?
--I bought Black Aura solely for +2 STR. True Story.
- Agree and disagree on Slow. It's very good against monsters when you don't need to fight 300 rounds+, but slow still has one of the the shortest duration among current spells. You may need quite a few levels before you can keep slow on a few 30~40 rounds.
It does work well with haste though, but then you may need to suggest which deprecating spells you will choose.
- For aura, it's because the stat gain from auras have minimal effect.
Maybe I should say 'think if you have the need to open new aura slots'. Once I've tried to analyze this, and I would say people should finish refined aura at around lv.150~170.

Recently, I've been getting 1-shot on IWBTH hourlies. This never used to happen before. Is this normal for my level or is it due to something wrong with my build?
1. Don't mix armor types. Don't use equips which are too underleveled.
Which means you should get some lv. 200+ heavy armor from WTS.
Also, use a better weapon. Longsword it's the best choice. Try to find a mace/estoc of slaughter and try again.
Power armor can be too 'soft' at your level if it isn't 'of protection' suffix. You still need better protection at your level before you get enough from your character's stat.
2. Don't try IWBTH hourlies immediately. Try to raise the difficulty when you can handle the easier ones. If you constantly get 1-shoted, then you should consider lowering your difficulty again.
At your level you won't face too many monsters. Those 8-10 monsters should start at lv. 100.
3. Ability points....if you are power-leveling then there should be no immediately problem. Though almost everyone who power-level will eventually face the problems of insufficient proficiency.
