Because offensive magic prof is one of the easier prof to max in the game.

It should be okay to switch without any offensive magic prof, as you can train them in battles. Your equipments are more important if you want to switch.

Deprecating/supportive/curative prof should be kept at least 50-75% of your level though, regardless of your build.

Have to agree. I'm a mage and enemies keep on attacking me, so I have to cast spells before they hit me (gets really nasty when there are 8 or more enemies on the field at once). Cloth armor can't mitigate physical attacks well, but evade is slightly better than leather armor.

Hi,

My stats are
STR 45/18/0
DEX 30/10/0
AGI 25/3/0
END 36/11/0
INT 15/0/0
WIS 16/0/0

And all my abilities are allotted to the Experience Bonus, Health Tank, Magic Tank, Cure, Aura Slots, and Item Slots (with one in Poison for some reason). I'm currently level 36, with 31 in Adept Learner (guess I'm a little behind on that).

Am I on the right course for a straightforward 2H fighter? Or is there something I can do to improve? Relatively new to HV, sorry.

1. Put more EXP into WIS. It helps you to have more base MP and MP regen. You can keep INT at about 80% of your level.

2. Pick weaken and protection.
Protection gives you bonus on mitigation, which decrease damage dealt to you. It's very useful and can train your supportive prof at the same time.
Weaken is a good spell; it halves monster's damage output and prevent them from giving you critical hits. Besides, weaken can be used to spam some deprecating prof. You need deprecating prof to keep more deprecating prof on bosses/legends/gods when you need to fight them.
Poison isn't that great now, but you don't need to re-allocate as it still gives some benefits, mainly decrease monster's MP/SP regen rate.

In the future, you may also want haste, Shadow Veil, regen, imperil, spark, silence.

3. From your stat I guess you're using heavy armor. Can't say much as you haven't posted the equip links. General ideas though
a. Weapon: Estoc or Mace.
b. Armor: Plate of protection at your level, later your can gradually change to power armor (when you get enough mitigation from armor prof and character stats)
c. Equip level: Get some equips at 200+ level so you don't need to change them till you also reach 200+.

You mean the SP restoration efficiency? It depends.
The formula is
QUOTE
SP restored on hit = ceiling(base_SP / 20)

where the base SP is the character's base. Assuming 60-70% proc efficiency, you should at least 100 SP per soul harvest.
That's a rough estimate though.

367/20 ~ 18, for 9 mobs, assuming 60-70% success proc rate, it will be 18*6 ~ 108MP per cast

How do I generate equipment links?

Also wouldn't it be prudent to use equipment more my level? That way I get the full effect.
I have a few level 300 items/weapons, but they don't grant as many stats as items my level.

Place your mouse above the equipment and press "c", a window should pop up and you can copy the link. Alternatively, you can learn to use the equipment shop helper.

The stats are scaled down to your level. You will be able to fully utilize those stats when you level up.

It is better to get higher level items because they also scale according to your level and that you dont have to keep upgrading when you out-level them

Just post the equipment, it is hard to compare which is better when we cant see the stats

58 estoc
and
30 longsword

Even though the estoc is a higher level, I get more damage from the longsword.

The most efficient way is to compare their base stat (stat scaled to level 0) using scripts. You can get the script here

Does Luck of the Draw affect the quality of item drops? I know Scavenger affects the drop rate of items. Lately I've been doing hourly random battles on IWBTH due to using Arcane Focus and killing enemies to get higher quality items.
