QUOTE((Cheater) Tiap @ Apr 30 2012, 21:15) Maging is probably still the easiest/fastest way for that
Safer? Yes. Faster? No way in hell. I can say this because I've done IWBTH DwD both ways.

QUOTE(derpymal @ May 1 2012, 10:07) I thought everyone beat DwD as melee? Then again, I don't really pay attention to what other people do. I just beat it, but I cheated by spamming Scrolls of the Avatar and Gods and by using enchanted armor.
I'm not sure about it, but before shards are added I haven't seen any claims from lv.300 players that they can beat BT/IWBTH DwD. The situation obviously changed with shards though. And I don't count those who spam scrolls to recover MP (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) QUOTE(MidNightPass @ May 1 2012, 12:52) I am a melee using mace, then that skill sounds useless to me.
Still okay since it gives 100% stun proc. If Shatter Strike gets nerfed it will become powerful. This post has been edited by varst: May 1 2012, 08:03

Scroll SoL is cheaper than the spell version. And you get THREE spells for the price of one action with one of the Awesome Scrolls, plus they cost 0 MP. Sure, they may not last as long the spells with my proficiency, but that's a small price to pay. And when the Scrolls and my IA were both up, I had double Haste and SV for extra lulz. Protection + Shield/Barrier wasn't a bad deal, either.

You mean scroll of avatar? Does the haste stack?

How long did it take for the whole run?

You'll always see the same type of monsters at each round. Grindfest, on the other hand, is random. That's the main difference. The other very important difference is that once you start an arena, you will not be able to restart it until the next day. Also, Grindfest uses more stamina.

Did I find something interesting? I know it is low level. Bumped it by 6 levels already in IW. I know it will take time, but this thing looks spectacular when compared to Slaughter/Ox/Cheetah/Banshee/etc... I never stumbled upon Battlecaster type of weapon before (I know I haven't seen a lot of good stuff yet at ~100 lvl (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ).

But with double haste, you only need an action speed of 177.8 or 200 to cap out lol (haven't determined if the scroll and spell add together or multiply) This post has been edited by skillchip: May 1 2012, 18:01

Hmm at this moment I have 246.1 speed. So I guess it's an overkill for me.

Yeah, 246.1 would become 369.15 with haste, so you can still improve a little bit with double haste, like you wouldn't get hit by e1ia and be able to get more hits on monsters, but it probably isn't worth using the scroll and spell

I never experimented with double haste, never tried that out even once actually, so mine's just a "guesstimation": the effects are multiplied together. I can't see why the conventional stacking method used for everything else (lowering of mana costs included) shouldn't be applied here too.
