QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Apr 22 2012, 02:00) Actually it seems it can happen twice a round. It's just very rare.
Well thanks for reminding me that. Usually I just press button and start watching youtube, so I don't really notice that prof. train logs. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) The part on IA should be correct though; once per turn, determined by the total MP upkeep. This post has been edited by varst: Apr 21 2012, 20:06

Just found out magnet is a single target spell, kinda susck.
Soul Burst doesn't seem to be as great as I expect it to be, even with max prof in holy and dark.
Do I need to use Soul Fire befor ecasting Soul Burst?

Does Soul Burst also proc Burning Soul?

Soul Burst won't proc burning soul unless the original target already has burning soul, which will then proc burning soul on other monsters. I really need to convince Tenb to add links from HV to wiki. At least for soul burst.

This is how I survive IWBTH hourlies when I go in without a weapon. I CAST FIST (by fist i mean Soul fire and then Soul Burst)

I guess that is the last of the questions of the spells I will ever ask again.
I've survived IWBTH hourlys with holy and dark, x-nerf and weaken.
I guess I will try casting FIST now.

Holy/Dark works well for hourlies as well. Some people do it without nerf/weaken, but I feel much safer if I cast both of them, even if it does take slightly more turns.

I am still using a gossomer set, so x-nerf and weaking work better for me atm until I get a phase set to work with. Though every phase that has dropped for me has been either a fox or owl and not a Heimdall or Fenrir I would need.

I foresee a doubling of your mana pots expenditure (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Nina edit: Is the formula for calculating how much mana you recover per turn something like: (rate * 2 * AurasMod) / 60 * 3? This post has been edited by ChosenUno: Apr 22 2012, 02:27

https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?s=&am...t&p=1473309Magic Regen (per minute) = 5 + (WIS / 25) * Aura Bonus Where Aura bonus is (1+0) for no Aura, and +.5 for Rainbow, and +.5 for Gold making the max for it x2 MP gained per turn = Magic Regen / 15 See the topic for math behind it

QUOTE(cyberwaveIT @ Apr 21 2012, 17:59) What about the weapon load-out? Do we continue to use our normal weapons or switch to a lower level/damage?
If you switch to a lower damage output weapon you'll increase your proficiency gain with that kind of weapon. You may want to go for an illithid or vampire one, their damage is usually low and their secondary proc can be useful to survive a little longer.

EDIT: Ah, a misread on my part. Sorry about that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Another question: I thought that before, failing the mazes consecutively would incur increasing reductions. However now, I sometimes fail a pony maze (too sleepy), and suddenly get a -10 stamina reduction, every time. What? This post has been edited by ChosenUno: Apr 22 2012, 03:08

I use a focus staff, so my mana use is like if I am 10 or so levels less than what I currently am. For a holy/dark magic user, mana regen is too low to notice. The way regen works in battle makes the dereived regen stat deceptive since actual mana regen is MP gained per turn = Magic Regen / 15. Your regen stat would have to be much larger than 15 to receive benefit.

Depending on how fast you clear rounds, mana regen can help you a lot.

It takes about 2 shots to clear a round on normal and hard with the setup I got and using Banish and Pestilence.
The mana conserve staff and Aether shard work better than relying on the mana regen atm. Though a redo on the regen formulas to give back more would be better or a gear stat that increases the regen stat numbers.

If your gonna take it slowly, might as well just ET then.
Otherwise, wouldn't clearing rounds faster mean you take less hits = less mana needed for healing?

Mana regen does give back plenty, try to up the difficulty until it takes you 5-6 turns to clear a round to see the real difference. It could also be that your mana regen is low (low WIS?)

Mana regen is more useful for melees, really. However, it is most useful with Auras it seems, because then your mana income would be positive. That's a godsend, as it helps cover a lot of the "regen in case shit happens". But it's just so freaking expensive gathering the haths required for auras (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)
