Since I already had my 4 slots filled with rank 1 auras and I wasn't sure of what auras to rank up, I didn't really care.

Does Arcane Focus work during the casting of tactical spells - Deprecating, Curative & Supportive Magic? or is it only for Offensive Magic only? QUOTE Arcane Focus You attain a higher level of attunement with the arcane forces, increasing magic power, accuracy and crit chance.
Magical damage bonus: 25% Magical hit chance bonus: 50% Magical crit chance bonus: 10% Also known as Arcane Meditation

It probably only applys to offensive magic only, I still miss with AF when casting nerf or weaken.

QUOTE(zeh_lp @ Apr 17 2012, 20:03) -snip-
A lot depends on what you're trying to do, but when you start doing arenas past lvl 100 and longer IWs, definitely can't recommend anything but 2hand for melee. For arenas under though I have no difficulty 1handing/dwing through them to up my profs as well, on whatever difficulty is on at the time. 1hand is fine for bosses/gods. Don't worry about DW til you're much higher lvl and secure, and then you can worry about farming dw prof later if you want. For now do what you like/are comfortable with. But yeah need to train up 2hand. for 1hand try to find a shield with "barrier" suffix. All other shield suffixes are comparatively mediocre. A good barrier buckler can get 25%+ block. If you go kite or tower, even higher. For lower arenas, I definitely recommend trying a club. club procs + counters + shield bash = lots of stuns. You need more +end if going light; light armor prof gives you +agi, heavy gives you +end, so compensate the complementary stat. Also remember that you can supplement your light build with some shade armor for +attack and +accuracy. haste is recommended, and max it/ put it same as your shadow veil, so they have the same duration. re/casting protection and/or sv/haste is a bitch since their durations are different. If you're using cure, shift to regen; it's must more mana efficient. weaken is a must for bosses, schoolgirls, etc. Get some more points in ability boost, and put them into spirit tanks + OC boost. OC past 100 gives you more damage on your skills, and allows you to spirit stance for longer periods. You need 110 OC min to use a SS boosted shatterstrike with 2hander. It's hit chance bonus should work or deprecating magic.

Thanks. With regards to DW, what is the "best" combo for the main/off hand? Any particular equipment stats to look out for? I'm still pretty weak in this area.

You can try club/axe MH and rapier OH. Rapier should start to excel at your level with PA because of those high phy. miti giants, so pick one with longer duration/chance of PA, followed by the parry chance. Its damage output doesn't matter that much. Dagger is also okay, but you risk spending more time than needed on giants. As for Club/axe, try to find one with void damage/high damage bonus. Proc is also important. This post has been edited by varst: Apr 18 2012, 07:16

What difficulty do you guys typically run your arenas on? So far, I've just been doing them on Normal after I have <80 stamina for the arena clear bonus at the end. Is this the most effective use of arenas?

After you hit 200, it is not possible to do more than 2 or 3 arenas on great (assuming you got 99 stamina) without energy drinks. You will be doing the majority of them on Normal stamina. To offset the exp loss, you can do them on hard difficulty. You can get voidseeker shards as drop doing that. On a day where I feel like not doing as much, I will do all arenas on Normal difficulty to get through everything fast. On a day off or lots of time, I'll probably do alot of them on heroic and anything Endgame or lower will be IWBTH for credits. This post has been edited by trikon000: Apr 18 2012, 08:26

Remember to add voidseekers to all your clubs before starting a battle for perma-stun. Works well on IWBTH FSM, unfortunately I forgot to carry more than 3 godly spirit pots. NoooOoooOoooOoooooo.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Now that I think about it... Why don't I just use 2 sword chucks instead of axe?
