QUOTE(LangTuTaiHoa @ Apr 16 2012, 10:45) I can't see your screenshots, but one notice: you don't need that much supportive spells when on easy/normal. You may not even need arcane focus. Only turn it on if your killing is too slow. The only thing you really need is regen2. Maybe after 100-150 rounds where mobs tend to get freaky, get spark of life on if they hit too hard. And try to cast those only on channeling or mystic gem. If their turn run out when no channeling has occurred, try turning on spirit mode to reduce mana usage. Also, try using a focus staff with >= 20% mana conservation.
Not even spark. Spirit shield is more than sufficient. And yeah, you only really need Shadow Veil when around round 100+.

Not really. Remember SS only triggers for hits that takes more than 1/4 of your HP. It's good against small groups of angry IWBTH lolgiants who crit like hell. Easy/Normal mobs usually aren't that strong, but 8-9 hit, each close to 1/4 of your HP but not exceeding it may end your life just as fast.

Well, easy and normal means 1 tier 1 elemental usually wipes everything out anyway. There may be 2-3 mobs left at best. Easily handled by spirit shield.

Melee isn't that easy, though. You need quite high level IMO for the natural mitigation provided by endurance. Because you'll need to play in high difficulty for the schedule to meet up. Then if mobs manage to hit you, you're in for a world of pain, especially at this level. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Good point. I've been meleeing too much to the point I forget we mages can wipe everything out fast (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) QUOTE(kakashi524 @ Apr 16 2012, 10:56) Can you see the Screens now? Its the first time I add images <.<.

Still no. Try using the attachments function. Add 4 images as attachments, then press the button "Embed attach" or such on each image. This post has been edited by LangTuTaiHoa: Apr 16 2012, 06:01

Images attached.
So, use Ether Theft, focus on 1 kind of dmg. Not to use too many supportive spells, after lvl100 Spark of life to survive too much dmg and make use of overcharge 25% discount.

Spark of Life is very costly. Use Spirit Shield instead. And yes, you should focus on 1 elemental type. Most people go Wind. Ether theft as much as possible:)

You can get by using something like Cold for example (I used to use that, then moved to holy/dark). As long as you can get ~70%-80% EDB increase, the type of elemental shouldn't matter too much. A plus with using a "weird" type is that you have more mobs to ET from.

hm, as I see it only my staff has Elemental Damage Bonus for wind, the rest has proficiency bonus for elemental dmg: Superior Ebony Staff of Destruction Level: 323 -> 0 Fire Damage Bonus: 1.73 Cold Damage Bonus: 2.03 Elec Damage Bonus: 0.83 Wind Damage Bonus: 1.13 *jumps off a bridge* So sorry ;_; Or is it this? Fire 9.7% Cold 11.3 % Elec 4.6 % Wind 6.3 % This post has been edited by kakashi524: Apr 16 2012, 06:30

Wow, you managed all the way to 230 with gossamer? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) That's hardcore! You should really be using phase now. A good phase set should be around 100k in total, for the weirder elements like cold. A holy/dark set would be around 1 million for a good set, because the sellers are a greedy bunch (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif). By the way, why are you trying to run through an IW?

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Well that's nothing, you helped me get my exquisite scythe from snowflake last night (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) On your problem: from the screenshots your stats seem ok, your base magic damage is even higher than mine (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . The thing is, you need more phase pieces of the element you use. It will maximize your spell damage. And since you are now 230, start to change to holy/dark. Although the gear is much more expensive and mana cost is somewhat higher, but you will be able to do harder battles. This post has been edited by LangTuTaiHoa: Apr 16 2012, 06:34

everything scales to your level, if your gear is level 300 & you're 220 adding more levels isn't going to help.

@kakashi524
Another problem I've noticed is that you don't have any tier 1/lower tier spells.
At lower level you may find yourself okay, but at lv. 200 and above the monsters usually have enough resistance to cause you some trouble. And you can't always use magic missile to kill those things left, because it's time-comsuming (wasting your mana) and dangerous (risk being hit). Try to pick a complement tier 1 spell; if you use wind EDB suit, then either pick cold (cold 1 -> wind 3) or elec (wind 3 -> elec 1).

Lost connection. BTW I have this, any good for a dark dmg set? I gather it is not excellent but decent: [L224] Superior Phase Robe of FenrirQUOTE(4EverLost @ Apr 15 2012, 23:42) everything scales to your level, if your gear is level 300 & you're 220 adding more levels isn't going to help.
