QUOTE(varst @ Apr 9 2012, 23:30) You're mixing up the two methods. Basically IWBTH IW grinding is mainly used for grinding weapon/heavy armor profs. The heavy armor is used to lower the damage received, and with the monster's high HP you can hit far more rounds before they get killed.
If you want to train supportive/curative/depreciating prof, instead wear cloth armors and tune the difficulty to easy. Bring MP potions and start casting those spells. Don't kill anything so you can keep yourself at the first round. For spell choice: depreciating -> weaken curative -> cure 1 supporitve -> protection, or those spike spells later
Currently I haven't seen any viable method to train light/cloth prof. It seems you have to play more rounds on lower difficulty.
And prof. can only be gained at the rate of 0.01, 0.02 or 0.03 each time. That's why you'll need tons of casts/attacks to increase your prof.
Thanks for the advice. But what do they mean by spamming post to earn exp? I thought replying/posting thread only increase karma... I see many high level player like to play as spell caster. Does it really help in training spell's prof. / level? (I mean it is very weak in defense, how do they manage to maintain the balance?) If I were to reset all my AP again, what is the best combination at my recent stage? (I got 134 AP at Level 98) Should I train absorb? I mean it help if I cast spell on monster, so it helps when I train deprecating / element spell, right? One more thing what are the spell of Divine / Forbidden / Spirtual? I am having "ZERO" prof. on them... Are they important? Do I need to train them?

Posting in any thread (except free speech zone) will give you 10% bonus in one of the EXP factors, and it caps at 10 posts (100% EXP bonus) per 24 hours. You still need to play in HV in order to enjoy the bonus. As for high-level players, they have the ability to play in both styles (mage and melees), and will adjust their equips according to the situation. Mages can clear things faster, while melees can play in higher difficulty. Mages basically improves their defense by killing everything with the first hit, so nobody can hit them (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) As for abilities... 1. Pick all HP tanks 2. Pick all those item slots, aura slots, x-attack, x-item, scroll slots, and 1 infusion slot 3. Pick the following spells (full): depreciating -> poison (against gods you'll need full AP), weaken, silence (lv. 100), nerf (lv . 150) supportive -> haste, SV (light melee only), spark (lv. 100), heartseeker (lv. 170), SP shield (lv. 190), one (and only one!) spike spell curative -> cure 1, regen, regen 2 4. Pick MP tanks, SP/OC tanks, and EXP tanks. Priority to MP, then SP/OC, then EXP. Absorb isn't that useful for melees. Since prof. training depends on the number of casts, you would like to use the spell which costs the least mana. Divine spells: purge (40), banish (90) forbidden spells: psetilence (150), ragnarok (200) soul spells: soul harvest (100), soul burst (250) They're all offensive spells; since you're a melee, you don't need to train those prof. at this moment.

Divine is the proficiency with Holy based spells, such as Condemn/Purge which you can get at level 40, Smite/Banish at level 90. Forbidden is for Dark based spells, Corrupt/Pestilence at level 150 and Disintegrate/Ragnarok at level 200. Spiritual is for Soul based spells i believe, but it is not raised by casting those spells, it is the average of your Divine and Forbidden proficiency.
100 Divine + 100 Forbidden would net you 100 spiritual.

All of them will let you avoid damage from monsters. The only difference is that evade and block works on both physical and magical attacks, while parry works on physical attacks only.

How do some people manage to do 100+ rounds on IWBTH? The most I've done is 20+. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I've found the wiki article about it.

QUOTE(mustardpie @ Apr 10 2012, 13:26) Lets just say not that many. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) 50 levels ago, going 5 rounds on IWBTH was hard, now I can do 20 no problem. 50 levels ago, an IWBTH hourly took all my potions. Now it takes ONE. If I'm unlucky. Unless you think your doing your build terribly wrong, then as you level, the number of rounds you can do will just increase.

So, uh, I have no idea what I've been doing with my stats. I've been totally ignoring Intelligence and Wisdom since in most RPGs I hate offensive magic. Been putting all my credits into Adept Learner, since my ultimate goal is to train everything 100%. Higher levels means more credits (I assume), so levelling up faster is the best investment of my credits I can figure. Any help would be totally awesome and I'd love you forever. How fucked up am I? How fucked up am I?
Give up on 100 percent training, unless your name is hitokiri. Training Adept Learner past 100-150% is so inefficient. Also, don't neglect wisdom. It's important even for melee, since it gives you a lot of mana and gives regen and magical damage mitigation. There's also no point in making a stat too low, since the amount of exp you save that way is minimal. Also, post the items your using. Your derived stats and proficiencies are a bit weird. Also, supportive spells and deprecating spells are your friend. Get haste, protection, poison, weaken. This post has been edited by Kaosumx: Apr 10 2012, 22:46

Thankies for the help! You can consider my name Hitokiri. A COMPLETIONIST SHALL I BE FOR ALL TIME. Also, I'm only at like 60 percent on Adept Learner right now. I'll take your advice on wisdom and raise that a bit. And, uh, is there an easy way to get all my equipment stats to show at once? Print screening for all of them would be such a hassle. <-<

Wow yeah you need to replace your equipment. Since your too cheap to buy stuff, then go here https://forums.e-hentai.org/index.php?showt...=59425&st=0you can borrow free equipment form there, the quality is pretty good. Go for some leather of protection (or plate)(aim for high physical and magical mitigation), and try out some better dw combinations. Try to get a "of slaughter" or "of balance" weapon in your main hand (get as much accuracy and damage as you can), and a "of balance" or "of nimble" weapon in your offhand (more accuracy and parry chance as you can).
