QUOTE(Trolljain @ Apr 1 2012, 06:19) Thanks for the informative reply! +Karma
I do mix armors, I've tried using an all kevlar set, but it seems that I take so much more damage, and I don't really notice an increase in evading. Should I just swap to all heavy? Or am I doing something horribly wrong with my light armor?
Evade isnt very reliable, since if monster hit you and you aint able to dodge, then you still take full damage. I prefer higher mitigation from Shield Armor, so that even if the hit connects, I would only take a fraction of the damage, plus it offers Block Chance, which also functions as Evade (that never get diminished by the burden). Heavy Armor gets better when you get higher prof, I am Full Power and my total burden is 50 (64 without armor profic bonus), but my evade chance is only 2.6%. Evade is viable only if you have full Shade and Keep up Shadow Veil, and Kevlar is only good if you got "of Protection". Shield Armor is also ideal if you ever want to switch to One-Hand, since higher block chance means more chance to ignore damage and to counter This post has been edited by Coma: Apr 1 2012, 06:45

Interesting, I'll look into getting a full set of heavy then. I assume you would equip a shield with that set up and not DW though right? Thanks again.

QUOTE(Trolljain @ Apr 1 2012, 12:00) These are my current stats. I saved up about 100k to buy a new weapon, as I know that like all MMOs, weapons make the biggest difference. (Correct me if I'm wrong for HV)
What would you guys suggest me to get with that budget? Thanks!
IMO there are also some problem in your prof. and primary stats. It seems like you're power-leveling when I looked at your weapon prof. Not a bad idea, but insufficient prof. means that your spells have lower duration and requires extra mana to keep them. You should put more EXP into wisdom (at least equal to your level). Mana can be quite important when you level up. BTW, what's your distribution to abilities? It looks strange... This post has been edited by varst: Apr 1 2012, 07:17

The first advice is not to become a battlemage at your level. You don't have enough ability points to support the spells you need as a mage, overcharge as a melee, and those tanks.

Damn, second time I got killed by IPU on IWBTH. Second time around I went in with 4 godly mana, 4 mana elixirs, and 5 godly spirit. Used DW and still could barely bring it down to 25% HP the second time around.
Do I really need Lifestream and MagNet now for this thing and also FSM because I leveled past the lowest level threshold? I feel kinda crippled without being able to do skill 3.

Lifestream is as useless as it gets. MagNet is a-ok though.

So Lifestream sucks worse than Regen II; I take it.

Could anyone explain in a more detailed and n00b-focused what the changes in stats in the ne version mean? Thanks.

One question about monsters. From time to time I see monster with grey square, easy to defeat. A moment ago I defeated first monster with orange square. That orange (scanned) was classed as: Rare. It dropped some Voicebox artefact. What is the secret behind different colors under letter M? Thx in advace for clarification... Karma is waiting for good soul. wiki lists different types of bosses.
Thats thats the first tier of rare bosses right there. The grey are more mini bosses and don't really pose a threat, nor are they hard to take down.
check out your ring of blood arena thingy to see the list of some of the rares-gods type monsters.
