QUOTE(Raidy @ Mar 29 2012, 16:10) any mages that regularly use spirit stance? tried it a few times, didn't last very long due to low SP / OC (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) With the exception of the first round, I only use Spirit Stance when I have to cast a Supportive spell without Channeling and it's safe to do so, and I turn it off as soon as possible. If my Overcharge was higher I might have Spirit Stance on while casting damage spells as well.

QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Mar 29 2012, 23:26) But if you ET a lot, you can do it quite often. Although honestly it seems quite dangerous at my level, since I haven't got any spirit tanks.
EDIT: When will we ever be faster than custom mobs?
maybe when you have 400-450 AGI

If you plan on FSM farming, you should definitely go DW with MH Eth. I used to DW 2 clubs. Perma stunning FSM. Plus, the void damage from your MH should be enough to not use an infusion. Why scroll of the gods?

Actually that was my first time facing FSM. I play on nightmare by default now, so I forgot to set it back to normal. Scroll of the gods saves mana.

Mana pots are much more readily available compared to scrolls, mind you. If you plan to farm FSM long term, it's better to not use scrolls.

Yeah, it's just that I wasn't prepared to kill FMS on god damn nightmare with 1mil hp, crap dw proficiency (so no frenzied blows), and no ethereal club in MH. I STILL would have done it too if I just remembered to use my godly spirit potion, or kept silence on it. I just wanted to repost and bitch about it since no one reads the Defeat thread. EDIT - also, nerf duration is WAY too short. Especially when my deprecating prof was at 6 >.> Took a full set of mana potions into easy crude item world, spammed weaken and quintupled my deprecating proficiency. How well does the block stat for shield stack? Is it worth it to go more with shield than power?

You should value shield more at the beginning, since mitigation gets better at lower levels. Later on your mitigations are much higher, you can shift to power and just soak up the damage, I presume.

Seriously? You *never* use deprecating spells?

I hardly use them myself, only when facing a heavy enemy on difficulties higher than normal. Problem with those spells is that they are single target spells meaning that it seems better to me to use lightning on all targets than it is to use low/non damage spell on one guy.
It does not help that most of my fights are with mooks on IWBTH, thus trying to hit them all with those spells is counter-productive.

The first clear bonus was enough, doing it again for 1000 credits is not even worth it to spend an hour or so on normal.

TRU DAT. Not to mention it took me a total ~1.5 hour and only got 7 schoolgirl trophies (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

you do those for exp or trophies. If you go in with 10-13 godly mana pots and only use a few then you aren't going as fast as you can and are using ET too much.

I forgot to switch from set 4 to set 3, so it took forever with my crap heaven-sent set. Had no choice but to ET like mad.
was really tempted to just use flee.

I stopped doing them on normal but when i was doing them it took me 12 minutes to clear one arena just using ET on konata and some godlies, i guess it's more a matter of how good your equipment is.
