soul damage

Damn. Just as I thought. Well would it be better to get armor that helps with dark and holy prof? or is it better to get protection.

If I do try it as a mage, it probably won't be for a while. My prof for both holy and dark is horrible. Maybe if I do ipu and fsm enough, it will be higher quicker but I still need the right gear. Plus its not really worth farming ipu when for the same price you can get a noodle trophy.

you will probably need to get a few edrinks and lots of whatever mana pots you like to use and spend a few days spamming holy and dark on easy/normal to get your prof up.

You can boost your spiritual by using a gossomer set of heven-sent and Demon-fiend, you will have to skip using phase if you already have a set.

Could someone please advice me on my build and equipment choice, thanks!

Seems like without spamming pots (which I only have space for 5) I can't do IWTBH

You might want some more wisdom, but pts are fine. Maybe more to end than others if you need the HP. str is mostly for damage, which can be fixed by better weapons, but HP can't as easily be fixed by gear.

Dual axes is better damage, but a dagger/rapier/shortsword in off-hand gives you a huge boost to parry (off-hand in dual-wield gets +50% parry). Might be worth your interest.

See if you can find some "of protection" armor. (Does leather still come w/ that suffix?) if not, get some kevlar. Even 1 piece or two of Kevlar of protect will make your defense a lot better.

Check my shop and other sub level 150s for some deals on kevlar.

Your supportive is low; are you using haste? If you get your phys ab/mit up to a good level, protect works very well too.

@TheGreyPanther
thanks a lot. I like that you can activate it w/o having to open the equip popup in a new window.

I have 2 questions with regard to equipment.

1. There was one sword (name so complicated that I can't name it), lvl 33 IIRC. When I went to unequip my old weapon and returned back sword was gone. My question is: somebody bought that in the mean time or what? Was that pure bad luck?

2. When I go into Item World I can't upgrade anything. How many rounds I have to clear? My weapons are very low level so after 15 rounds I was expecting that my dirt cheap Club will get some bonus.

Thanks in advance for clarification.

There used to be a list of "max stats" for all item types. Is there any updated information as per the last patch? I have several items I would like to evaluate but I have to compare the "base values" to something.

@ trikon. Damn, unfortunately its what I thought.

@aizen Either some one bought it or the bazaar ate it.
Item world is not really worth doing at your level. Cheaper and faster to just buy stuff from other people because of it being higher level.

just doing T&T-BT is a pain now as a Mage, where doing it melee with normal stamina is very easy. And I don't have some godly eth scythe, I just use a none upgraded eth longsword of Balance.

for melee all you need to do is use your skill every 11 rounds, and if you get hit too much all you need to do is change to a mace.

oh and I don't think my Avg/Fine power armor count as goldy, and I only have 1 of Slaughter. My light isn't much better and all well below my level.

What makes the difference is I have higher health and my stats are all much higher then my level making me harder to hit.

I think a big part of lower level players is they try and play on difficulties higher then they should. If they were to grind more they could find more gear/credits/artifacts and then train so they can find more stuff or get more AP.

The problem is that being at higher levels opens more Arenas for grinding in though, so what level would you say is a good time to turn down the difficulty and start grinding? There's also the problem that most of the good equipment only appears at higher difficulties.

IW has as many levels as your item. If your item is lvl 15, 15 levels of IW (applies to items under lvl 100). You'll see a "the level of your item has increased by X levels" when you complete the last round, and you'll automatically exit. Right now at least, you see no gains for partially going through the item world; you MUST complete all rounds to get the gain.

Okay, I've a question or two. I'm a mage, looking to go long term into wind + lit (assuming that's a good idea, otherwise all base elements(?)) for credit farming + winning fights by casting wind and lightning as needed.

1: Can just wind + lit work and what supportive / deprecating spells are useful for that? For general long-term fight survival and preferably the ability to not be horribly, horribly raped for 150% of my max hp in one special attack from bosses too, etc. I need to know to be able to plan how many of my ability points to save for them and not waste my points on things that sound good but prove to be worthless.

2: What staff and cloth armour set should I be shooting for long term? I still have no idea which bonuses are best to aim for.

(great prefix) Ebony staff of Focus(?)
(great prefix) Phase (whatever) of Freyr/Mjolnir(which? something else?)

Or what exactly? Also, which bonuses are more important? Like what are the top 3 bonuses or so I should be looking for in order on the staff or the armour of those?

Feel free to point me to a shop (yours?) selling good examples of those equipment pieces (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks for any help.

Hi Guys, need some additional advice.
Now that I've gained some much needed credits from beating IPU, I need to catch up on my training.
Can you advise on which particular training I should immediately focus on? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
Credits are now much harder to earn, since I've stopped uploading (AP) galleries. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

[attachmentid=12808]

Thanks again.

if you play often, scavenger. if you play not too often, battle slots

edit: (just my 2 cents). it's pretty much dictated by opinion

@kczz equipment types dependon on which one you will use first. Wind probably so frery equips. And it does work because dragons mechs and giants are all weak to one of those 2.

At cyberwave. Battle slots and aura slots. Those are the most useful. The others are more just credit dumps that may help in the longer run with gaining credits. What I suggest is immediately useful now and later.

Thanks guys, I just started training the last Refined Aura Slot - 100K in / 100K out. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Now, I really need to defeat FSM for the 200K grand prize, but need to gather more ToB first. Not having much luck with the ToB drops. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

.........I'll just drop a complaint in the complaint thread later, it generally improves, at least for me. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I'd say get the drop rate ones up first. When they're around 60k in cost each, you'll notice a more substantial increase in equip drops.

Aura slot isn't worth the credits for you yet, IMO.

Aura Slots and Item Slots are both things you should definitely work to max out: Aura Slots so you can get that great exp bonus which is factored in separately from other bonuses and thus greater then just getting a few levels of adept learner or exp tanks and Item Slots to bring more potions with you and survive longer in battle.
Drop rate training is more something you work on for the long term. You really won't be able to tell the difference between levels very easily and you certainly won't if you can't play more rounds (this ability can be gained by leveling up more...which Aura Slots can help with). Since you won't be able to train Scavenger, etc. with the winnings you got from IPU, you may as well finish up training the slots and notice that benefit at least.

Not to put words in Varst's mouth, but I think I got that idea from reading his words of wisdom; I think he would also agree with the idea of training Pack Rat and Refined Aura ASAP (please, correct me if I'm wrong).

You'll need to get all the offensive spells eventually. You'll specialize in one or two by way of the equipment you have on, but you really want to have all of them available.

For Supportive, Curative, and passive skills, you will want to have Haste, Cure, Shadow Veil, Regen, Spark of Life, Regen II, Arcane Focus, Spirit Shield, X-Item, X-Attack, X-Magic, all Focus Auras, and all Item Slots. It's up to you how many Infusion and Scroll Slots to invest in (I only have one of each). Cure II might also be useful every now and then, but it's too expensive for regular use. Maybe Protection as well as it's only 1 AP, so why the hell not. For Deprecating spells, Weaken, Bewilder, Blind, Silence, Nerf, X-Nerf, and MagNet. Put one point into Poison at first, and max it later if you feel like it. I also like Slow, but not everyone uses it. I didn't list these in any sort of prioritized order, by the way.

I think maxing out each Health and Magic Tank is important. Spirit Tanks should probably wait until 200+ because you're pretty short on AP much of the time until then. As for Experience Tanks, it's up to you. I didn't start investing in them until level 200, but others do it much sooner to level faster.

Start out by assembling a Gossamer Elementalist suit with no Burden and Interference. Prioritize Proficiency Bonus and Evade Chance, in that order. An Ebony Focus or Destruction staff is also suitable; the former will help your Magic Accuracy at low levels. With an Ebony Destruction staff, prioritize MDM, Proficiency Bonus, EDB, and Proc Chance/ET Turns, in that order (I wouldn't worry about Proc Chance/ET Turns until several upgrades later). Eventually you will want to build a Phase suit. Most mages only put one or two elements into their suits, and which are really up to the mage. With Phase armor, prioritize EDB, Evade Chance, and Int/Wis. You'll eventually want to have multiple Phase suits; for example, one or more for elemental spells, and another (with a Katalox Destruction staff) for Holy and/or Dark spells.
