I only can get to 60 round or less in normal IW, with DW setup and lesser.
I don't think using staff is easier because you need to pay attention to it, while I can do IW and reading or watching some movie with DW.

hmmm... well I can't disagree with you there since when I was using two hand, it was just click away in order. For me, I go for time efficiency since with a staff you could wipe 10 monsters with 1-2 spells. I'm pretty sure you could do the same since you have far more APs than I do. Of course you have to pay attention and conserve mana in the beginning for the longer IW (100+), but it's definitely far less clicking than DW.

If it's just that, use the 1HS setup, it's what makes go farther, but it's the slowest at the same time.

Come on Cyriel, I got to round 705 on normal without items.

As a mage boggy. Meaning sticks and spells and no sharp pokey stick... And tissue armor.

Should I link my proficiencies?

Thats good, but not the point.

The point is that without potions, there's only 2 ways to get mana back, which is second winds and aether theft.
That, or you jacked up absorb so ungodly high that that's your main income. So my main question is, you do cast spells, and you cast them often. How do you make it past round 200 without any form of constant mana flow when that's basically more important to progress than HP ?

Thuderstorm costs me 13 MP to cast. (Targeting the blue slime allows me to 1-shot a round.)
Second Wind gives me 123 MP. Mana gems give me 147 total.
My mana efficiency is such that I basically need one of the two every 10 rounds and I can continue indefinitely. (I actually had 50 MP less than my max at round 650, but the enemies were hitting way too hard for Regen II to keep up. I then had to cast Cure II which sucks MP like a bitch).

Same as me then, except my winds don't cover the drain, hence my reliance on pots.

Guess it's a high level thing.

Soon I will have Rainbow Aura (soon = 1-2 month)
I already have Black & White and Penny Pincher.

All future hath goes where?
Demon Duality sounds nice but is it really worth 1000 hath?
Or some levels of Innate Arcana to get free perma regen?
Or... maybe 10% Exp hath perk?

organized mind is great(if you want), or stoism for make your K+ gain raise. many options for that, just pick that you like.

If you're more interested in HV, go for IA and master all levels

1-You should trade the cold tier 1 by the elec tier 1
2-First get weaken and haste then fill the 2nd tier of fire
3-You're a mage why aren't you using elementalist stuff, you need it.
4-level up a lot.

To achieve the +700 rounds normalFest without items you need:
-all 3 hath aura
-IA 4
-being high level like +190 or so
-high proficiencies
-insane good gear
-Have fun (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Because only blue slime and mind reaper are resistant to elec, elec is the most important element in the game.

Very. Also:

You if it have good prof bonus, it's good even without the decent evade, of course if it also have good evade better. This is a perfect example of good elementalist gear.
You have to understand one thing 1 mob dead = 100% evade.
You can mix with silk gear for the sole propose of getting more evade, but by using it you lose a lot magic power from INT/WIS/proficiency/ratings bonus, and you also have low magic acc, so you lose that too, having more resists.

That's why the mini-bosses are the best choice for it.

It looks like I'm doing a lot better. Round 25 instead of 20, lol. Electric is really helpful.
Since I'm focusing on evade, wouldn't shield be wasted?
I'm waiting till I get focused aura I.

Shield is much more helpful than you'd think, since it's more cost-effective than Cure.

Plus, it's helpful for raising your Supportive Proficiency.

You mean because shield don't absorb all the mobs at same time?
Don't worry, actually shield will protect you better than haste until you raise supportive proficiency enough.
