Yeah I forgot to ask, how do I link my equips? And well, they might be crappy, but they're free, and I was broke. Now I can do those arena to feed my pot fund. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Still, anything free is welcomed.

Well I only use cure when I fall this 50% hp situation, it's not low enough to be worth using hp pot, and it's low enough for monsters to OHKO me

Well you can point at the equipment and press 'c' to get the equipments' links. If it doesn't work, check if your cap lock's on.
And I would say max HP, do other APs, then back and take some EXP/MP tanks. Why?

Because mana tank won't help with MP pot regen. One of the first few things for new players to learn is that potions only recovers your base HP/MP/SP. And tanks don't count into the base.

And that's why it's still good to use those HP pots.
1. They regenerate over turns, so you can get a few more hits than a single cure (which can easily overflow your HP)
2. You won't get the said percentage.

20k should be enough to buy some good stuffs.
Just beware that because of the recent patch, there's a new mana conservation bonus on focus staffs, and gossamers now have no burden. Notice that when you buy things.
(The better staff to use is ebony of focus, but redwood is an extremely inexpensive choice)

Check out my shop. I think I'm missing something for your hands but I have 3 exquisite gossamers of the owl for 5k total and one phase of the owl for 1k.

Pretty cheap if you ask me. And the owl suffix gives more wisdom which gives more mana base which gives more mana per turn for potions :-D.

First off, if your going to use focus, you might as well get one of the newer ones with mana conservation. Otherwise, your just throwing mana and credits out the window.

Secondly, mages don't rely too much on defense. So of protection is not neccessary. We usually go for magic strength. Thirdly, hardly any of the mobs have magical attacks. But even less have cold attacks. So frost-born is out.

Actually thinking about it, protection might be good for you until you get spark of life. Its so hard maging before you get that and arcane focus. But if you weaken all the mobs, you don't have to worry about being crit by them.

Use a focus staff when your done beefing up your build. In the meantime a good destruction staff should work for you.

The number two priority for a mage is ability points, so get training!

You *need* those HP and MP tanks, AND you have to have enough points for supportive, curative and elemental spells.

No. That's why we suggest people to buy equips higher than your current level.

I was hoping for something more "stylized", which doesn't include most of the default fonts that come with a computer.

You can always use [www.zeldauniverse.net] Hylian font.

This interests me as well. I gave up on fonts some time ago. Firefox + any custom was a total mess for me, but better than downloadable.

Google is the opposite, so I'm using google + downloadable. Do let me know if you find something notable.

Yes.
And monsters like to evade x-nerfs. (personal feeling)

I rarely even use nerf, so couldn't really tell if that was the case or not.




On a side note: the trio took me less than 50 turns on normal to get the clear bonus. Way less than FSM on normal.

-Always exchange trophy for 2h weapon because there's the least chance of receiving useless crap, even if you need cloth, exchange trophy for 2h weapon, sell weapon, buy cloth.

did the exp get cut in half or something? anyone else experiencing this?
