QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Mar 9 2012, 18:15) I think eths maces are really a must, simply because of the insane number of giants and mechs mobs. Otherwise, you'll be killing things too slowly and heal too much.
As for scythe, you have bleed to back you up, so eth scythe is not really that important, unless you're trying to storm your way through.
That's not a must. 'Must' means that you have no other choices. Non-ethereal mace is surely a choice; ethereal ones will only make the whole thing easier. It's not like clothes/leather which you 'must' not use because of their low defense and easy substitution choices. Non-ethereal maces can still be good for low-level players without much credits to buy expansive ethereal maces. Ethereal will also make scythe better, since you can deal more damage with void. The problem with non-ethereal weapon is that some monsters have high HP and mitigation against it, thus you need to spend more turns killing them. And void can even out the damage. You need Blood Tokens, not Chaos Tokens. Chaos Tokens are for Monster Lab stuff.

QUOTE(Muramasa777 @ Mar 9 2012, 18:52) So, what do you think about this set?
I don't feel anything wrong with your current suit. Probably there's room for imrpovement (equipment's level, physical mitigation, overall stat, etc.), but your suit is still okay. QUOTE(spizsam @ Mar 9 2012, 19:56) Do you lose your credits if you cancel a training?
No. Credits will be refunded. You just loss some time on further trainings.

My mace ain't too shabby either. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Still need more upgrade though. I kinda sick of it already; the good eth I kept getting are mace; I sold 29% eth mace for a relatively cheap price a few days ago just to get rid of it... I still got this one, too ... All another eth that I got always sucks. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) This post has been edited by buktore: Mar 9 2012, 15:23

As a Wind, Elec mage, should i take up Banish and Soul Harvest? Also, would you max out Poison, Weaken, Silence and Bewilder? Or will 1 point suffice?

Get level 5 weaken. For others spells, it depends on your needs.

Well, just started mage. Maybe should get Soul Harvest in case i face some Wind Resistant Bosses.
I'm having a hard time on IWBH, they hit way too hard, i don't suppose i should weaken all of them. I guess evade+shadow veil is the way to go on IWBH?

Buktore bro, I just transformed to a Mage... And I was like "Oh God! Mages are so good, they clear the rounds sooooo fast, they take tooooooo muuuuuch damage, they consume toooooo manyyyyy Mana pots" Then I got "Oh WTF! I can't do any level above Heroic! !@#$%^&*!!!! I can't train in IWBTH!!!" When I was still a melee, I can go 7 IWBTH round with just health pots and some crappy Mana pots... and now...

You'll need Banish against Bosses/Legends. And if you've beaten RL, you can forget soul harvest for a while. Poison....unless you're going to fight for several hundred rounds, 1 point should be sufficient. Weaken...max it. Silence...don't recommend for a mage. Bewilder...take it if you want to play IWBTH against elementals. And if you want to survive in IWBTH (at your level), weaken/bewilder should be the only way. Once you get SP shield and x-nerf, things should get a bit easier. QUOTE(Nguoivohinh @ Mar 9 2012, 21:50) Buktore bro, I just transformed to a Mage... And I was like "Oh God! That's why I suggest to keep everything balanced. At least you can play a bit melee if you want to. This post has been edited by varst: Mar 9 2012, 15:54

@ Nguoivohinh
Melee nowadays are quite strong at low level, while mage still stuck with mana problem plus a not-yet impressive spell damage.

@ varst: Thanks bro, I can easily switch to my Melee gear and still be able to kick ass when I run out of Mana pots...! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) @ buktore: now I'm confused... kinda want to change back to where it was all good but Mages are still so awesome since now I have to limit my playtime to do the other stuff. And we all know that kill fast win fast is what Mages do the best!

I see, since i'm an IWBH player, I will max out bewilder and Banish. Is there any need for SV after debuffing all the monsters? And btw, is there a way to tell whether to use Weaken or Bewilder on a monster? Afaik, I can't tell the difference between a magic user and a meelee, has magic point anything to do with it? ^Oversoul: Erm... you might want to cast Bewilder on the Elemental mobs, since their magical attack can easily 1-hit K.O us at this level... and weakens on the rest. That's all, I think.

Good to know that Tenb seem to succeed in confusing people. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
