depends how long you want to/can play HV a day. the crazy players that spend a lot of time on here can probably do 5+ levels a day pretty easily i would think? would depend a lot on what finances you have available to you (cash $$/credits/hath) QUOTE(Toru Ikeda @ Feb 29 2012, 18:50) Bummer..oh well thanks for pointing that out I now know what to do (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) np (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I hit 110 for silence, and want to take on Real Life, but I got some gimp ethereal one-handed shortswords/daggers. Should i still prioritize void damage over much higher damage slaughter axes/clubs? I'll be going 1handed (50 prof) since iris strike would break silence.

Unless you can do 2x the damage with the non-ethereal go void, cause I believe RL has 50% resistance to pierce/slash/crush

if you're going 1 handed, i recommend a illithid axe with 20 base bleed and good proc chances.

i'll level up my eth wpn a bit, and shop around. Ithilid+ bleed 1-hand sounds like an interesting idea.

i did first two ultimate at 110 with (stupid) 2H weapon, plate armour and mana potions - by which i mean normal set-up, no preparation. skillchip is right about physical resistance but doesn't need more strategy. just keep up silence, regen (good health/mp) and maybe poison for high damage over time. very easy but boring. same for IPU (i was too stupid to try holy defense but still quite easy). you don't need to worry too much about it if you have silence and mana potions. FSM i don't know about. i'm wait for getting regen II like a pussy.
oh yeah, i always re-cast silence when it still has 2+ turns left in case it keeps missing.

good to know, thanks. will do once my stamina is great again. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Wow silence made that a walk in the park. Guess you don't have to worry much on normal. When agitated, the most RL hit me was for like 212 damage. This post has been edited by etothex: Mar 1 2012, 10:12

I can't decide which of these two power armors is better... My current equip: Fair Power Armor of ProtectionPros: far better phys absorb AND mitigation, somewhat better crit. Newly dropped: Fine Power Armor of WardingPros: double the attack, triple the accuracy, FAR better magic absorb/mitigation, better str bonus. For heavy armor, i'd hate to lose all that physical mitigation, but that's quite a bit better attack bump. What say everyone else?

Expecially if it's way way higher: Fine Power Armor of SlaughterI go by the "kill them before they kill you" way. The sooner they drop, the better. I don't use it, if you are interested just send me a PM.

Well just to be sure, in Grindfest ANY thing can drop right? Pots, items, artifacts, crystals, equips, rare items,... That's what I thought, but I visited the wiki today and see no mention of drop: http://ehwiki.org/wiki/GrindfestWell I should have posted this in the missing info in wiki topic, but since this topic has more 'attention' (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Thanks, but how about its drop rate compared to other modes like arenas and IW? IW I don't play much, but in arenas I have a drop every 3-4 round (never more than 5 round with no drop), even on normal. In IWBTH grindfest I noticed that the drop rate was significantly lower as I rarely had any drop (drop quality is ok for the difficulty), and I've been grinding the whole evening (100+ rounds total) and got no equipment.
