QUOTE(n125 @ Feb 29 2012, 13:07) Is it true that 3-use ET staffs start dropping more frequently after a certain level? I've been sitting on a large amount of Saplings and Noodly Appendages and was wondering when would be a good time to offer them away.
Most likely that would be about lv.260, if the scaling system is still correct now.

Hi everyone! So I have now reached lvl 67 and would be very happy if I could get some feedback on how I'm doing and if I should change anything. [ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/CPYJi.jpgI can get to around 20 (45~ if I use pots) rounds in Grindfest on Hard X2.0 setting. I'm not sure if I'm doing good or bad. Should I change to mage set up? Or is it better to stay as warrior still? This post has been edited by Yurine: Feb 29 2012, 08:21

QUOTE(RajaNagaSoz @ Feb 29 2012, 04:40) FTFY again. A certain marimo might be cool, but another version of masamune would like a word about having the most swords. Also it'd complement what my spirit attack was called when we still named it. Rokutouryu: Ryutsume. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) If only he would fix niten first....

And maybe you'll find a Scythe of Slaughter with nice bleeding a lot cooler than a Katana. I think that's all Anyway, here's my question (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Avoidance 3.3 % evade 0 % block 7.2 % parry 17.2 % resist Hmm... So what exactly is resist?

I lost count how many times I bitch or requesting about Niten since it went shitty about a year ago... My last serious attempt was about a month ago, not to mention a routine whining sometime after that. Should I try again? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ... But I guess I'll wait for maybe a few patch before I try again. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) .... @YurineThe idea when play this kind of game is that you don't ask something like 'Am I good?' ... ' Can I do better?' is what you should be asking instead. Preferably to yourself. You probably have an answer to that question by now... Which is yes you certainly can, and it's easy to do so. You can start by spending some credits on a more decent gear.

QUOTE(Yurine @ Feb 29 2012, 09:54) Oops sorry, I have attached it now. I did the exact same thing you did with full heavy armor. It does not work that well because of the increased MP cost. Someone recommended that I switch it all out for light armor with one or two pieces in heavy. I have had less problems after making the switch.

QUOTE(Yurine @ Feb 29 2012, 15:54) Oops sorry, I have attached it now. Hm...how to do better... 1. Mayne you can take 1-2 set of SP+OC tanks can try to use 2-handed skill. Also pick a point in poison and full weaken. When you feel like monsters hitting you too hard (in high difficulty), throw them a weaken should help. 2. Use all plates with protection suffix; that should give you more protection. You can also try not to use ox suffix, as balance (+accuracy) or slaughter (+damage) can be better. I'm still bitching on how to make my advices look better... I thought I have the idea, but it's difficult to avoid over-complicating things. Which I think is a wrong idea. Remember that you'll lose the full-set bonus by mixing light with heavy, and that could be a great problem when you progress. Heavy has high MP cost per spell, but they also need less cures.

@Nguoivohinh220 is when I finally ditch Niten entirely ... I really love that thing, but it suck so much... Wish it's not as suck as it is. *This is just my opinion*Aside from outdated info, the wiki have way too many technical (i.e. not really helpful) info IMO. Coupled with the technical writing style that dominated the wiki, the whole thing look extremely complicate and that's not very useful for new player, only bamboozled them. It delve too deeply into 'How' rather than 'What' ... For example: The wiki has a complicated Critical formula that tell you the crit chance that, for people who don't care, can just view what crit % they has in the character page. Yet AFAIK there're no info (in English language, at least) about what exactly Critical is... No wonder people kept asking what is ' Resist' ... Or worst, believing it doing something else entirely. Even a long time player still got it wrong sometime, me included; I remember reading skillchip wrote that he incorrectly thought that Critical = 2x dmg, for example. You're not the first. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) There was a case that the player believe that it 'resist' monster normal attack, asking why he has trouble staying alive even though he has huge 'resist'. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) If you don't know it yet, ' Resist' is the chance to avoid incoming (not evaded or blocked) magical attack (i.e. attack that is ' casts', not ' uses') ... It's like Parry for magic. This post has been edited by buktore: Feb 29 2012, 11:57

I'm well aware of the situation. Going to do something on that.
Don't expect that issue to be solved immediately though.

Is it correct to assume: Crysfest IWBH for Exp Grindfest IWBH for Equips Crysfest/Grindfest Toned-Down for Artifact/prof farming?
Planning to reach ~200 ASAP, then farm for Credits, any suggestions?

Crysfest IWBH for Exp: I also do this. Seems effective Grindfest IWBH for Equips: not quite, keep in mind that grindfest burns your stamina VERY fast, they may or may not be worth it to grind for equips (depends more or less on your scav/luck/quart training). I personally do arenas for a balanced source of credits/exp/drops. Crysfest/Grindfest Toned-Down for Artifact/prof farming: For artifact I also farm the arenas. For prof farming I think the best is crude IWBTH IW. Each round takes long enough for you to gain profs quickly.

Since i'm at 90ish, arenas get cleared pretty quickly, so it's impossible to 'farm' them atm.
I honestly see no reason to choose grindfest over crysfest if not for the equips. Afaik, both places drop Artifacts.
For arenas, i start with IWBH, then lower the difficulty bit by bit. I can only clear lvl60+ arenas on normal mode as there are just too many rounds. Any tips for surviving 25+ rounds without using too many pots? Using Mace and Kevlar of Protection set

Crysfest ONLY drop crysytals. NOTHING ELSE (of course, no artifacts). I'm a mage so I don't know much about melee, but some general tips are: focus on monsters with high mana first (as their magic/special hurts), make good use of shatter strike (for example, using it at the start of a round is much better than at near the end). Also invest in some supportive spells like shadow veil which makes you get hit less often, or protection if your armor is good,.... If you don't have much mana to spare, using their counterpart scrolls is also good. This post has been edited by LangTuTaiHoa: Feb 29 2012, 17:12
