Need some advice here. I noticed at my level it is harder now to one-shot all mobs at Normal difficulty for IW, Arena, etc. I was using Chain Lightning and Thunderstorm with Arcane Focus already cast and there are still 3-4 mobs that manage to survive or are unscathed and dish out some painful damage. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong here. My Elemental score is 144.40, I maxed out Superconductor and Static Charge Electric Resistance, I'm using all mage gear that boosts elemental proficiency, and I got a staff with decent electric damage and elemental bonuses.

How do you one shot the mobs? Which spell do you invest in now? Fire, wind, holy? I noticed my Holy spells (I maxed them all out too) can sometimes one shot mobs at Normal but if I just use Holy spells I run out of Mana quick even with all Godly mana potions and ET. Its not really doable to finish 100-200 Lv IW or the longer Arenas. Any hints?

Here and click on dash board to the far right of the screen, there will be tab that says credits, and there ya go.

EDB stands for elemental damage bonus, which includes the 4 elements, holy, and dark

You can do about 60% of the damage of the optimal EDB set w/ destruction staff while in optimal proficiency gear, just with the current HP buff, don't expect one shots as you get into the higher levels

Is unicorn significantly harder than RL? Have 3 tokens now and of course I want to get the better money. FSM seems not to be an option now since I've had sad experience with it. And is unicorn's trophy better to shrine than RL's?

I've just unlocked The Twilight, which I won't be doing for maybe a day or two while I allow my Stamina to build up again.

Having taken a look the Arena page at the wiki, I'm curious. Does anyone actually do all those Schoolgirl runs, or just 1 or 2?

Also, is it just me, or does Beyond the Clouds seem much easier than The Twilight and End of Days based on what the wiki is saying in terms of # of enemies?

Well, Beyond the Clouds just replaces one or two common enemies every round with a miniboss from what I'm reading, although since minibosses don't include custom monsters, I guess it can be considered easier.

EDIT: Nevermind, you're right. The total number of monsters is lower.

I do the first 49 rounds on higher than usual difficulty because of that sweet EXP multiplier and low # of monsters per round.

it definitely has more HP.
FSM should be easier with already 2 tier holy on your lv, while dark is still few lv to go. but meh, it's depends on your gear and prof.

If you don't want it, I'll buy it off of you (I collect Ethereal weapons).

It's actually better than the Ethereal Shortsword I have right now, so it's still a decent upgrade to what I've been using.

Well, if you feel like mages are more powerful than melees, consider the following:
1. Mages use way more mana potions than melees, and those are expansive
2. Mages have worse defense than melees, a hit can take half of your max hp
3. Mages' equipments can be quite expansive (considering the middle-tier EDB phases)

I still play all the EOD and above when I have time. Using 'no ET' method uses tons of mana potions, but everything's much faster.
