QUOTE(wrinty @ Feb 17 2012, 00:08) Alright, I got the script to work. Is there a database on the ranges that a certain weapon can have though? Those numbers don't really mean anything if I don't know what the ranges are >.<.
Does the base stat shown take into account quality and suffixes?
Also, I created a monster for two days and noticed it hasn't gotten any kills even after I boosted its strength by two and increased its resistances until it got a PL of 20. I created a Mechanoid, by the way. Would other monsters have more success than a mechanoid and when does it start becoming capable of winning regularly?
http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Equipment_Rangesmonsters under PL100 can only fight people who are their PL level or greater. System will usually only choose those monsters that are near in PL, so your monster is only fighting lvl 20 ~ 30 players. No idea how many players are in that range.

Feel bored... So here an opinion piece, fuel by boredom as usual! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) ---------- The last patch have a few interesting changes to melee: • Heavy got better- Despite the fact that Tenb repeatedly try to solved this issue, Heavy always had these few quirks and kinks in past (excluding the 'godly heavy' period way back) that make them ... ' inaccessible' to most players; you get hit for less dmg per hit but get hit more often since you're slower, your loss less HP per turn on avarage but so to your regen amount, your spell duration are much shorter which make it annoying and frustrating to play, and the list go on... But his effort in the last patch finally head in a right direction (it had to be... it's my idea, after all!) in regard to this issue, ironed out some of the biggest kink in Heavy and indeed become a force to reckon with. • Light got worse- Kevlar, especially; you lost a fuck ton amount of evade with practically nothing to compensate for the lost unlike shade which, btw, aren't actually better either... • Monster HP buff + Other small but significant forces from other patch (i.e. some new change) with unforeseen consequence - Simple change, Big consequence ... Lovely, isn't it. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) - The new skill and OC mechanic, funny enough, results in more than just a behavior change... This results in a moderate but significant shift of power between various melee playstyle, weapon and armor type, which I kinda like. There's still some glaring problem, like the piercing weapon are practically useless at low level for example... But seeing people debating what kind of thing to use more often than before is certainly refreshing. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Though It would be a lot more refreshing if this changes and discussion and stuff actually make the game more fun to play, which they are not... Thanks for the great help, varst. I will try reset the point to see the effect, but weaken cause quite a lot of MP. Many say the effect is very cool, but does it affect less on boss or it is all the same among boss and normal monsters?

When should I start powering up my monster and when does owning a monster become profitable? I'm guessing all the leather and stuff in the shop are from people selling off their monsters findings.
Also, I have enough Tokens to go for one more monster right now. Are there any monsters with a huge overall advantage so that I could profit from it almost instantaneously?

@xdgfsdf
The effect is constant. Maxed out it reduces melee dmg by 50% and prevents crits.
@wrinty
You should focus 1 monster at a time. It takes a lot of crystals to raise a monster's PL level to a point where it starts winning/killing and brings back gifts. It'll take quite a long time.

QUOTE(aeridus @ Feb 17 2012, 03:09) Yep, as you can see in my sig. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I'm currently experimenting with lowering endurance a tad because it's an expensive stat to maintain for me. And keeping intelligence about 50 levels behind everything else, which I had been doing for a while, didn't make any sense anymore because I could easily up it 10 or more levels with the amount of exp it would take to up another stat one point. This is what I'm currently adjusting towards, since wisdom is still fairly important: Strength: 377 Dexterity: 377 Agility: 377 Endurance: 357 Intelligence: 347 Wisdom: 367 @varst I did try removing each individual thing from autocast to see what impact it had, and no matter what I chose I could definitely feel a difference based on how fast SP drained. That was back when I wore Kevlar though, so it's worth re-testing. I do have all the soul spells, mainly because I wanted the passive soul resistance. I was unaware of how exactly Spirit Stance worked, I'll have to try temporarily turning it on and off for casting the spells I use (when I don't have Channeling, that is). The verdict is that I'm keeping Protection on. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) It really does make a big difference on IWBTH even with Shade armor. Soul Reaper doesn't seem to help much, at least at low proficiency, so maybe if I up forbidden proficiency a lot more to increase the proc rate it will be a useful ability to keep on standby. Otherwise Ripened Soul procs very rarely. Using Spirit Stance solely for casting spells ends up only costing me 2 SP at a time, which is not bad at all for significant mana savings. You use Soul Harvest (AoE spell) preferably with maxed point in it, not Soul Reaper, to gain SP.

Mah....buktore stole my words (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Anyway, when I suggested Soul Reaper, I assumed that you don't have soul harvest. Soul harvest, as AOE spell, would always work better though.

What happens if you make your base stats the same with int = 1/4 wisdom exp cost? (this would probably lead to your AGI being pretty damn huge) Because right now, your current stat set up is very *balanced* but in terms of EXP spendage I'd say it's *very* unbalanced.

That would be an interesting yet time-consuming experiment... maybe I'll aim for that and see what happens. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I've got it and like it. its cooldown is 50 turns but it does 50-80k damage if I recall. I also like the skill you get with the Dovahkiin title.

What's the cooldown for FUS RO DAH? Does it have a secondary effect?

it has a 5 turn stun. 100 OC to use 10 turn cooldown I like it when playing on normal-hard melee. Orbital Friendship Cannon 50 turn cooldown, 200 OC to use 69 2 Orbital Friendship Cannon hits Hitokiri84 for 133159 void damage. 69 1 You use Orbital Friendship Cannon. thats with a normal axe & shield

Another: wiki says Unlocked by owning at least one of every 21 My Little Pony collectibles. So does it mean when you have all the ponies, it's unlocked and you can use it forever after that, even if you sell those ponies? Or you have to keep those ponies to continue using it?

If I had to guess, you probably have to keep them to keep the special. Otherwise one person could loan his out to everyone.

I just MM a pony to someone, so I only had 20 of them. Entered an arena... 44 3 Sonshi has been defeated. 44 2 Orbital Friendship Cannon hits Sonshi for 13651 void damage. 44 1 You use Orbital Friendship Cannon. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
