Yeah, I was thinking of some Kelvar when wearing Shade mostly lead to me getting my ass kicked.
So Melee people actually specialize in all three melee styles? (Well, there's technically one more, but yeah...) Guess it's off to the auctions to get me some Kelvar.
EDIT: Also, where do I get Chaos Tokens? I want to create a monster soon. I've cleared all the Arenas available to me except for the Level 40 one (Forgot to set difficulty from IWBTH to normal) but no tokens have dropped so far.

Kevlar works better for new players with some better physical mitigation, though it doesn't have any damage bonus and has some burden, which may hurt your evade.
Shades can work better if you want to have a evade build, but they can be quite expansive.
Melees usually specialize in two-handed and either DW or one-handed. Two-handed for normal playthrough, DW or one-handed for bosses.
Your greatest chance to get any types of tokens is by playing through your arenas. You can also get tokens when you play through anything, but the chance's quite slim.
They don't always drop, so you need to be patient.

Wait, why is One_handed used for bosses? I thought with being able to use a shield for increased block, one-handed would be the best for normal playthroughs and that they the least damage potential.
Anyways, I managed to find a Mace off of the Equipment shop with a decent stun.

Well, because with two-handed you can hit multiple enemies with its effect 'domino strikes', while with one-handed you'll have to hit monsters one at a time.
It's always better to lower your damage taken, though there will be so many monsters later that increasing your damage potential works better.

Currently I'm using a shield armor set up and have managed to raise my block chance to 56.5% (I'm still underleveled for the equipment, so in theory I should be able to get past 60 easily when I catch up). My question is, has anyone managed to break the 70% mark in regards to block rate? Is it even possible? I'm sure if anyone has managed it mal would have (he has sold off some seriously good armor), but he has equipment that is pre-patch (I think) so I don't know those equipment ranges.

So basically, it's something like:
Two-handed - Good for regulars because of Domino One-handed - Good for bosses because of shield Dual Wield - Good for bosses because of Frenzied Strike
What's a good mainhand/Offhand combo for Dual Wielding? In the short time I tried it, I put my Ethereal Shortsword on my main and a Club on my offhand.

DW usually use club on MH for stun and rapier on OH for PA.

Maybe, maybe not. Assuming the following base block chance from shield/shield armor/one-handed prof. Head: 8% Body: 10% Arm: 7% Leg: 9% Foot: 6% Shield: 30% one-handed prof.: 5% per 100 prof. Theoretical block chance with that suit: At lv 150: 60% At lv. 300: 65% The difference is small, as block has high scaling factor (2000) So...it may be possible to pass 60%, but you may need some ex. shield armor of barrier with max block chance, which I don't expect to see for a long time. Usually it's club in the main hand, as it has greatest damage potential. You can equip different weapons in the off-hand to suit your purpose: rapier -> have penetrated armor; good against bosses club -> off-hand club can further increase your stun chance dagger -> for its high parry chance axe -> bleeding and okay damage potential shortsword -> all-rounded but best-for-nothing That's your choice though.

4everlost, Those are close but not quite what I had in mind, I was talking about NEAR MAX MDB. Like past 580. I know that at my level I will not get the MAX benefit, but you get my idea right? I am talking an elemental (IE, staff of Mjolnir) ebony staff that retains the high MDB of a high level destruction staff.
Do such staffs exist?

If you want to try DW, make sure you raise your hitting chance: favor Dexterity as primary stat and look for a good weapon of balance for your offhand, with Attack Accuracy Bonus close to 30%, even better if close to 40%. Personally, as a light armored warrior I followed this order of precedence when leveling up my stats: DEX>STR>AGI=END>WIS>INT. I favored Shade over Kevlar to increase the damage output and evade chance, but it's really a matter of personal taste. Anyways, pick one type of armor and get a full set of it to maximize its effectiveness. And if you go down the melee path, make sure to max out ASAP the health and mana tanks in your ability page.

No such staffs exist. You can choose (excluding ex staffs) -> destruction staff with max base MDB at around 36 and max base EDB around 2.5 -> EDB suffix staff with max base MDB at around 23 and max base EDB around 7

Do such staffs exist? Not unless we're talking about pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-pre-nerf staves.

Mana Tanks? I was thinking I might need more Spirit and Overcharge to maintain Spirit Stance. Anyways, I think I managed to solve most of my problems by finally realizing how I can upload galleries without being the original translator.

You'll need spirit and overcharge, but it's not a priority until you get at least 50 points of DW proficiency to chain the second skill (and it'll take you some time, according to your stats page). For the time being you'd better focus on raising your HP and MP to protect/heal yourself and increase your survivability. Whoops, I meant to say credit problems. Yeah, I was downright broke and struggling just to be able to pay the trainer.

Restarted playing after about 2 years, a few new features like all these new monsters that completely smash my character.
I went with an ordinary sword and board type, heavy armor, shield and the best 1hander I could find, might have been more fun to play a magic user, I kinda regret sticking with a boring choice but maybe I'm stuck now.
Anyway, I have trouble lasting more than 20-25 rounds on hard (doesn't seem worth it to play on any lower difficulty), My Armor isn't the best I guess but when I visit the shop nothing else seems significantly better.
TL:DR I am getting chewed up, what am I doing wrong?

Probably too many things changed after you've left the game. Just treat it as a new game and re-learn the mechanics?
Anyway, most of your old equipments should be unsuitable now, though you can still post the equipments' link to see if anything's wrong.
There're also changes in abilities, the way OC works, the way spells works, etc...

Well, I'll ask for some advice too. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Let's start with equips, abilities and after, what I want to ask... Equips: Here I've made 2 sets, one for battle and another for grinding magical/divine/suportive/depreciative profs. The set for battle: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=08f05fc333http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=4d8b73ad4dhttp://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=588a9907afhttp://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=af2e19c0a6http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=88a531572ahttp://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=649f3a8e1fThe set for grinding prof: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=93027a0b10http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=240b5d2ce9http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=a4c9e231fbhttp://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=74e30cfcb6http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=c4c10bc5d5http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=3e92e9e397I'm also leveling this longsword for grinding porpouses: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=1c96064c17And I've this shield too: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=635b1c28f1Ability tree, as follow: (IMG:[ i43.tinypic.com] http://i43.tinypic.com/15d6fer.png) And then, characters stats: (IMG:[ i41.tinypic.com] http://i41.tinypic.com/98xe7c.png) --------------- Well, what I actually want is to gain more credits to download and buy Hath (I don't care soo much about leveling, if I wanted I could be at 100+) to take some Hathperks (Crystarium, to be specific), but I reached the point where I think there's no choice about leveling a little to gain the credits I want (unfortunatelly H@TH, or seeding in torrents are inviable choices for now, because I've a crappy internet here). So, it's really the best choice? For grinding porpouses, I actually use crude IW in easy, should be best if I do Grindfests on Easy/Normal or someting like that? (again, I don't care about EXP, so stamina is not much a problem) About profs, actually I'm more obstinated in grinding them for supportive/deprecative/cure last and regan more. Should I be more careless about it? About my two sets, I think that they could not be THAATTT great, but overall I think they're good sets. What's your opnion about it? Ah, and I need one more advice in 1H/Dual Wield sets. As you see, I don't have any that could be called set, for 1H it would be better use axes or Rapiers? And for dual wield, it would be better Axe+Rapier or Rapier+Axe? Well, thanks for the advices (and sorry if there're some errors in english, it's poor for me). Got IA2 just now. Haste and Shadow Veil seem to be a popular choice, but since spells cost more now and I'm not spending a majority of my turns in Spirit Stance, I'm wondering maybe if Haste + Spirit Shield or even just Spirit Shield alone with a lower cost is better. Opinions?
I would imagine I'd only need Shadow Veil to be constantly up in higher difficulties where dodging a hit really matters unlike Normal/Hard/Heroic, where I can easily heal off most of the damage taken with the Regens.
