so what general rule of thumb are people using to determine character stats? ( more interested for mage build ).

I must say it really depends on your current level.
The (% to level) thing works for me, but you need adjustments across levels.

Anyone know whether an energy drink is worth using to bump my stam to great stamina range so I can grind more?
Sort of feels like I should just be during grinding with normal stamina since stamina burns up fast during great stamina.

At your level, not that much.
Those high-level players can use 1 energy drink to grind for 2000 rounds without any problem, and they would gain more credits than you do because they can use less items per run.

Energy drinks are usually used at your level for power-leveling.
Use the 20 stamina from energy drinks to play in high-difficulty CF/GFs for experience.

I think im going to do CF for power leveling. GF doesn't give me that much credit.

Btw, I remember you recommending me to do GF/CF during great stamina and normal arenas during normal stamina.

But the wiki's advice says,
"Best Use of Stamina

Great: Arena, Ring of Blood
Good: Grindfest"
http://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_Advice#..._Use_of_Stamina

Now I'm kind of confused.
Could you help me with pro and cons of each way of allocation of stamina?

you DO not want to do crysfest for powerleveling. you basically rob yourself of anything useful (which can speed up power leveling!!!) for a slight boost in crystal generation.

also at your level i'd suggest saving energy drinks (the 25% damage boost in Great status is a boon in clearing higher Arenas, for example) unless you're the type that likes to play till they drop, like sushi or bunko.

You're forgetting that Cryfest cost 1/4 the stamina of Grindfest.

It does, but you don't get anything out of it unless you're pumped for crystarium hath perks already.

The last thing you want to do in this game is have to spend more time doing the things you have available to you.

You'll tire of it when you reach 90 stamina.

It actually depends on your level/playing style.
I have SP shield and spark, so I can clear high-difficulty arenas without much difficulty.
That's why I'm doing high-difficulty arenas for its better equipments/EXP/credits, and play through low-difficulty GF/IW for items/credits.

However you don't have those two spells, so it can be difficult for you to clear high-difficulty arenas.
That's why I would suggest you to play in arenas with normal difficulty for credits, and GF/CF for experience.
You basically won't have any downside of failing in CF/GF.

As for advices in wiki, I think it worths more discussion. Still, thanks Joe for that.

When you're power-leveling, the last thing you concern is drops.
And at lv.200 and below you can easily get equipments through WTS instead of grinding that yourself.
Also, CF costs 1/2 the stamina than arenas.

Also, the chance of anything useable or semi-decent dropping is very small

And even if you get anything useful, leveling them up is more painful than taking an arrow in the knee (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Not sure how do people clear 50 rounds x25 in EoD
seems 13Godly isnt enough. But if you ET on them, to cure the extra damage is more than the mana you steal =.=
