1. 2 prof. = 1 EDB IF AND ONLY IF you have 0 proficiency. Once you have more prof., EDB clearly wins.
I have made a mistake on this a long time ago, so I'm quite sure about that.
2. It depends on how you define 'efficiency'.
I can always grab a whole set of high prof. demon-fiend which only costs about 1% of my fenrir set, while suffering a 50% decrease in damage output.
With fenrir suit I can play in hell difficulty, which I may have a chance to obtain good gears.
With demon-fiend suit I can only play in hard/heroic, which I don't see any chance of getting good gears.
Will you still call that efficient?
I'm not saying that gossamers are rubbish, but as Ichy have said, they're for poor men.
As soon as you've earned enough credits you should start finding phases.
I'd say 50% of the damage for 1% of the cost is pretty darn good cost efficiency.
It's not the highest efficiency for damage, but that was never what I was claiming.
Just cost efficiency, ie what you get for what you spend.

Oh whoa so they can go beyond that? Good to know!
Though I guess that's not happening unless you want to show off with some Gossamer or something lol...
Most mages probably have higher proficiency than their level, since the staff gives proficiency.

mmmm i thought both base and effective is seen on the character page? might cause confusion. maybe state that it's located in the scroll section
e: "under statistics"
Base is on the character page, effective is on the right hand side, which also factors in interference (decreases prof if over 25) and also shows other things after all factors have been considered.
Unfortunately, you can't cast supportive spells on yourself outside of combat, would be nice to do that so you could see what you get from the different buffs. Would be nice to for example the actual effect of protection, or how arcane focus affects your crit chance etc.

What is the minimum PL for monsters to start delivering me goods? Mine is a PL 34 Mechanoid and has yet to deliver anything to me.
PL 1 is minimum.
The chance to get something is something like the number of matches won since you last got an item from it, multiplied by the amount of hours since you last checked the monsters.
With a minimum chance to get something every hour, so you can get a whole bunch of PL 1 monsters and check them regularly and you'll get stuff even if they never win any fights.
