QUOTE(~Nanodesuyo @ Jan 10 2012, 12:53) You lose quite a bit of Damage, and lower Accuracy also hurts till you hit 170 (Heartseeker). Even proc chance is lower, I'd probably stick with the Katana, or try a Mace (low accuracy though) to make comparisons and see what helps you most. Btw I think you should be able to grab an upgrade over your weapon with very few credits, check the WTS section, there's many shops aimed at low-mid level players *shameless plug* I got one too, check the sig if you want D: Anyway, unless you dropped some huge-mega-super-elite kind of item, don't bother too much with Item world, unless you're just powerleveling and don't care about credits/tokens. Okay, I will check the WTS topics later, right now kinda busy >.< (will check your topic too xDD dont worry) I currently do Item world cause I read posts that were better to level this way cause it consumes less stamina, compared with grindfest...Don't drop credits, but still drop equipments as I can see The only "elite" iem I got was from the shrine, this dagger one http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=360819d6cbNot sure if its the huge-mega-super-elite XDD by being a dagger type, buut I found interesting, cause was my first (nice) drop, never dropped exquisite ahead rank, so kinda smiled for that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Training 2h really helped me doing arenas and item worlds, cause of the aoe atk + shattering strike, but still use my dual-wield style for FSM and alikes from ring of blood. I thank you, and everybody that helped me with tips till now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) thanks for enduring a newbie like me xDDD -- edit: just wondering, its really worth getting stun instead bleed ? cause I read that cause of 0.63 the stun system was quite compromised, and mobs attack right the moment they get out of stun... with bleed I can swap targets to kill faster, but for one/two rounds I need to pay attention cause of the "red name low life mode" the mobs enter when they are dying With stun I probably will get safe for a few rounds, but I once read something about stun getting bugged with another effect, not sure which one The Penetrated armor effect I know was quite useful in the "spirit mode attack" we got in 0.62 and earlier ones, but right now I dont see much use, only if you get spirit mode activated. so, what you guys opnion ? I thank you, and everybody that helped me with tips till now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) thanks for enduring a newbie like me xDDD You're welcome! And the dagger is cool, haven't got any legendary here D: There's these great posts by varst you might find it useful, he was explaining this to me some days ago, : QUOTE(varst @ Jan 4 2012, 14:20) If you want some balance between credits and leveling, arenas should be a better choice.
The best method I know is to play in high-difficulty crysfest with great stamina, then finish the arenas in normal difficulty for credits.
High-quality IW has been good for exp grinding till the introduction of crysfest, where the stamina consumption rate is lower. Grindfest is good for credits only when you're in such a high level that you can blow everything away in normal difficulty with a tier-2 spell, thus can grind for hundreds of rounds.
QUOTE(varst @ Jan 4 2012, 15:00) Well you may need to look at that in different perspective... 1. Crysfest/Grindfest/IW have more monsters per round than arenas on average, which means the +50% EXP bonus from great stamina is more effective.
2. Crysfest consume half the stamina per round when comparing with arenas, which means you can grind more EXP per stamina.
3. +50% credit bonus seems to be good, but for low-level players most of the credits is from the clearing bonus of arenas instead of the credits you gain per round. And since the clearing bonus isn't affected by great stamina, it seems to be better for them to play in normal areans only. It also secures their credits source without much risk, since playing through arenas in high difficulty can be risky for low-level players.
And for different levels there can be different strategies, so what seems to be the best way for us may not be the same for those players.

Since I can not do the level 300 Dragon arena as a melee, I'm going to have to try to do it as a caster. My only question about it is: How do you fight 3 legendaries on Battletoads difficulty and survive while wearing cloth ? Thanks in advance for the answers.

It does whatever it says it does, we just don't know by how much.

Can anyone advise on which stats are important for me? [ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/muluQ.png Here are my current stats. I use mace and power armor. I've been keeping them fairly balanced so far, but I'm not sure if that's still a good thing to do.

Never expect something so rare to appear in the Bazaar. Also I see Mid-Grade Leather and Mid-Grade Wood, but they'll disappear shortly.

They might be rare, but used work only once for very short time. And selling items on forum usually goes below bazaar buy price. So it's not a bif deal aside of some wealthy guy wasting few hundred cr by bazaaring instead of auctioning.

It's very had to find a good bulk buyer and I don't want to waste time sending out 50 pots to random people, so I just bazaar all my pots.

A have a "few" questions, any response is appreciated. 1) is there a glossary of the acronyms commonly used on the forums anywhere? Most stuff I can figure out, as it's just the initials of equipment stats or something similar...but I see lots I just don't know. For example...recent discussion on this thread discussing "how does higher level maging work" and the term ETing was used. ETing? I warn you that this is the only game of this type that I have any experience with, so if this is common terminilogy, it still escapes me. 2) i don't pay much attention to the details of my battles. not sure if that's wise or not, but it's defnitely practical. one result of it is that i don't know which...or if... monsters can attack with magic before they have 50% MP (magic points (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ), as that seems to be the threshold. Do such opponents exist? Or should I be concerned with something else buried in the details of my results? 3) As a level 108 player, my experience says melee is by far the best way to go for now. I try all the combinations with a pretty balanced set of attributes ranging from 100 - 115 and lots of spells. Maging is just not as effective. A lot of discussion is devoted on forum to advantages of maging vs. melee, with mage emerging as a pretty clear favorite. I just want to be sure that it's not for me yet....right? 4) Monsters. I visit them every 2 days if that, and they show very little love. I think that's normal...especially as my top guy is a sprite at only level 80, and I have recently seen that he/she/sprites will have a very tough time killing anyone and are generally regarded as weakest of the weak. Oh well, moving my others up to level 80 territory to see what happens, My question is...are you supposed to create specialists, by only applying crystals of a few types to a given monster? Or create generalists? I don't understand the path to monster success? Cheers,

ahhh. Makes perfect sense, and I can now agree with the post...stopping for ET is a recipe for disaster. Tks for the help.

@ eramosat1: I'll explain some of them... - AP = Ability Point
- Bur = Burden
- Inf = Interference
- SP *** = Spirit (point, mode, potion, etc)
- Eth = Ethereal (weapon)
- DW = Double Wield (a fighting style that using 2 weapons at the)
- PA = Penetrated Armor (rapier & estoc weapon proc)
- SD (shade) = Shadowdancer (unique equipment suffix for shade armor)
- ET(ing) = Ether Theft (staffs weapon proc that can 'siphon' (gain) mana from monster, an act of using this ability to gain mana)
- CH = Channeling (character proc from mystic gem / using staffs ... spell power +50% and cost no mana)
- CM = Coalesced Mana (a staffs fighting style proc, casting spell at monster with this effect cut mana cost by half / pre-required in order to ET/CH)
2: I don't think so... 3: Like a lot of game with similar gameplay. Mage in HV have higher ' barriers of entry' than Melee. By that I mean they require more resources (decent gear, AP point, minimum level, mana, etc) in order to be playable, plus a little bit of commitment on your part since mage will almost always sucks when you just start playing it, and need some time getting use to the way they play. But once you have all these sorted out, they can kill things much more quickly and have more flexibility than melee. 4: You supposed to create Giant... Lots of them! @ buktore
You honor me by responding to all my queries...I am sorry so little karma, or other, is available to offer my appreciation. Also, I suspect your suggestion for giant opponents is grounded in something other than pure comraderly spirit! Nevertheless,my sincere thanks for your response.
I await the promotion of the Sprite-folks to doomsbringers.

Question:
Is the information on the wiki regarding White/Black/Rainbow auras correct?
The hath page says only benefits are exp gains and power.
The wiki says they give health / magic, resists and attributes as well.
