QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Dec 26 2017, 15:21) A monster can give gifts up to once per hour.
I don't think its possible anymore. Too many monsters, monster algorithm changed and players are more geared up on average. Years ago when there were a lot less monsters and I had one in the top 20 I could get a gift every 2-3 hours in peak timeslots from it. Now its far less but i have more monsters.

Take a peek at Jenga's database at how many PL1200+ there are: [ hvlist.niblseed.com] https://hvlist.niblseed.com/?selectby=plvl&...&orderbyb=1

Pretty sure I see every single pl2400 monster in the game several times each DWD. I don't think the monster pool is quite large enough to space them out that much. I do agree that the low rate of player death does spread out those wins a lot. I imagine that the 1-hr cap probably does still exist, in order to prevent abuse though. A "team of players" could all decide they want to suicide vs their friend's monsters. They'd get banned if they got caught I think, but in addition to that, they couldn't push more gifts to their friend than 1 per hour per monster.

And because iirc only a single monster from the same player can appear in one battle, i think it would not even be worth the afford. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

QUOTE(Basara Nekki @ Dec 26 2017, 01:43) I did tests to compare the experience gain in Arenas and IW (PFUDOR, Stamina < 80). (IMG:[ imgur.com] https://imgur.com/x78sUVG.jpg) The numbers themselves are not important (even because each has a different gain), but the simple comparison between them does. From the above, only IWs up to 55 rounds are more advantageous in terms of gain experience. The only advantage I see of the IW on the Arenas (of the same number of rounds) is that, as the amount of monsters in the IW is higher, statistically speaking the probability of drops in general is higher. Since I do not use scripts, I can not know the exact numbers to make this comparison in the drops. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) In addition to the credits, which are markedly lower in IW, I did not see much difference in the gains from the sale of equipment to the bazaar. So the only advantage it would be for the account of other items (crystals, restoratives, infusions, scrolls, and perhaps tokens and artifacts). The IW can be a good alternative for anyone who is not a mage, and also for those who do not want to spend hours in a row in a grindfest. QUOTE(Scremaz @ Dec 26 2017, 08:03) hmm... so these datas are partly outdated, uh? https://ehwiki.org/wiki/Battles#Battle_ModesJust passing by to confirm some things. I did some more tests and found that the experience modifier to the World Item is valid, even for values less than 1. In the page of the wiki (link posted by Scremaz) it is written: 1x - 1,2x. I think there should be an observation in place, indicating the formula posted by Sapo84: (PXP0 - 100) * 0,004. Or, if we use the known PXP0 limit values (103 and 421), we will have a range of 0,012x to 1,284x. These were the results of today's tests: (IMG:[ imgur.com] https://imgur.com/Ly1WtAO.jpg) I chose the 50 round arena because it was the last one with EXP Mod = 1,0. I compared it with the 50 round IW to check the difference in the experience gain for the same number of rounds, and the 75 round IW to check the same thing for a same EXP Mod. The experience values shown in the table are an average. The numbers are not "totally" accurate because sampling is low. I would have to repeat this for at least a week to have a more reliable average value. But I believe that only with this already gives to get a good idea. Comparing Arena 50 with IW 75, you can see that the experience gained is of the same order of magnitude, since both have the same EXP Mod (1,0). And the ratios (IW50 / Arena 50) and (IW50 / IW 75) presented close results among themselves, and also with the value given by the formula (PXP0 - 100) * 0,004, in the case 0,872.

No. Go for the essential pack first. Then if you are a hath baron that have too many haths and know no place to spend them, buy RR.

What are those packs? I already have 3 Innate Arcana which I think are the most useful ones. Should I buy Vigorous Vitality next? Actually if I don't win the OFC Giveaway that's currently in the WTS thread, should I buy an OFC set for 500+K instead? This post has been edited by Setton-san: Dec 29 2017, 14:34

OFC is always good. It raises your clear speed a lot especially round with 5+ enemies.
And VV yes, since it give you 10% max "base" hp, meaning it'll also boost your cure, regen and health draught.

[ i.imgur.com] https://i.imgur.com/fsnT5ZU.pngOh, thanks, but I think it's no longer necessary to add new data. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) I just wanted to show that in Item World the experience modifier is also valid for values below 1 (in the wiki it is written that 1 is the minimum value). And speaking of this, Scremaz, can you modify that information there on the wiki? ( Battle Modes) This post has been edited by Basara Nekki: Dec 30 2017, 17:25

Wait some minutes. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) I'll tell you that already.OK then. Let's go in parts. QUOTE(Scremaz @ Dec 30 2017, 14:05) what is the minimum value, in the end? 0.8?
In theory, the lowest value should be the one referring to the lower known PXP0 equipment (PXP0=103) (well, I think this is the smallest since I did not find less than that (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) ). Using the formula this value would be 0,012. However, there seems to be a minimum limit, as well as the minimum number of rounds on an IW. To check I made some notes for 20 rounds Arena and IW. Unfortunately the samplings are very small, so the deviations are larger. This test was done with an Average of PXP0=200. (IMG:[ imgur.com] https://imgur.com/IXXR782.jpg) From the results obtained, it seems that the minimum value should be around 0,8 (theoretically, for this PXP0 value, it should be 0,4). In addition, I compared the total experience gain between that Average (PXP0=200) with a Crude (PXP0=103), both with 20 rounds of IW: Average (PXP0=200): 12.199.508 Crude (PXP0=103): 11.814.378 Even with the large difference between the PXP0s, the experience gained was only 1,033 times higher (theoretically it would be 33,333 if there was no limit to the experience modifier). Therefore, I think it is reliable to say that the minimum value for IW EXP Mod is 0,8. QUOTE(Scremaz @ Dec 30 2017, 14:05) and 1.284 being the maximum?
Yes, this is the maximum value since it comes from the highest known PXP0 equipment (Peerless Arcanist; PXP0=421). QUOTE(Scremaz @ Dec 30 2017, 14:05) or should i just post the formula (where does it come from, btw?)?
You can post the formula and/or a link to where it is: Item World EXPIn addition, this formula seems to be effective. (IMG:[ imgur.com] https://imgur.com/x78sUVG.jpg) If we look only at the numbers referring to the two 100-round IWs, we have the following relationships: 1,284 / 1,104 = 1,163 [ This means that, in theory, the equipment with PXP0=421 provides 1,163 times more experience than one of PXP0=376. ] 151.622.998 / 130.569.752 = 1,161 [ In practice this value was very close. ] This post has been edited by Basara Nekki: Dec 30 2017, 21:52

I guess today is the last day for the old Ask the Experts thread. So going to say my last goodbyes here before it gets locked for good.
To think that half of my posts in HV chat were made in this one thread...
Some people say that this thread will continue to live on in another form, but I don't think its the same. I guess that's just like the grandfather's axe problem.

not the last, maybe the second-last. depends on which mod will be around, and when. let's say last week (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) however, we are closing it because people are whining you cannot search anything anymore and we cannot have two ATA threads. we can also leave this one open and not minding about searching, if people prefer.
