That's what I initially assumed, but then checking with other equips, for those others the numbers match.

ThisSup Axe is the only one which gives ne different result. In fact, it seems the Forge calculates it as if it were an Exquisite !

Does the fact that it is a 3 PABs Sup. influence the calculation in some way ?

If so, it should be mentioned in the wiki. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

The old (pre 0.82) equipment seems to have weird values for the quality coefficient, possibly based on pxp.
For a new superior at 52% I need 5 scraps to repair (pxp=234).

Pre 0.82 superior
51% pxp=299 11 scraps
56% pxp=294 8 scraps
78% pxp=295 4 scraps
83% pxp=309 6 scraps

I think jantch implies that is the potency to get involved, noy the condition (numerical or percentage).

In a certain sense, it is proper that this Sup costs like a Exq to repair, since it's almost better then most Exq I've seen, but still ... We know why people quit IW, but what if you're a cheap bitch (me) who doesn't use EDs? Still worth it in the long run? 25 scav 4 archaeologist no trap perks.

Imo the use of EDs only makes sense on a regular basis when you have the Long Gone Before Daylight Perk and at least Archaeologist 6.

No. Short run and long run, IW is not profitable for anyone. I have all the fancy perks, all trainings not far from maxed and it's still far from being profitable for me, even if I count the credits I charge for that service. If I do it it's only because I can finish a 100 rounds IW without too much trouble, but I can't go past 500 rounds of PFFest.

Insert in your head that IW is designed to be a challenge which only goal is to enhance equipment, not to net some sort of profit out of it.

Super didn't quit IW because his service wasn't profitable.
People quit IW service mainly because doing services is bothersome (let's say that you don't really want to play a week, now you realize you have a queue of 3 IW and you feel bad not playing so you are forced to that regardless, this fucking sucks and it's the main reason I've never ever considered doing IW services myself).
You can just check Super income manager screenshots, add 9c/pxp from IW service cost and you get that PFUDOR IW income per turn and round is higher than IWBTHFest (possibly not for PFUDORFest, but PFUDORFest is way more difficult).

Anyway, if your idea is not to use ED stay away from IW, just do arenas and IW only your equipments.

@Scremaz: doesn't IW have a good EXP multiplier? If the formula Non-IW_EXP * (PXP0 - 100) * 0.004 is correct a peerless Arcanist should have >1.2 EXP, which is definitely not bad.

As far as I've noticed, IW XP slightly better than arenas, but only because the average amount of monsters per round is greater.

And yeah, it's frustrating to have IW orders queuing up and being unable to satisfy all of them. When you can't do IW runs everyday, it's already taking more than 1-2 weeks for a perfect IW.

You sure haven't done a lot of IW. So let me get this straight. IW earns next to nothing in terms of credits. The final round of an IW doesn't have increased drop chances, unlike arenas or random encounters. It doesn't have any end of IW bonus equipment nor token. It eats away your stamina and your time. It's more difficult than arena, with monsters hitting up to 300% as hard as normal in round 100 (and already 200% in round 50). And to finish it: you don't get any crystal drop bonus either, unlike Grindfest.

And of course, the last but not the least: if you are looking for a certain setup in the potencies, you will have to use amnesia shards and to play at a lower difficulty in the 1-2 first runs, which will cripple your equipment drops aswell and force you to play Item World even longer. If we consider the price of amnesia shards that you have bought, then you're spending more money in the amnesia shards than what the IW nets you.

Anything that IW might drop for you, Grindfest will do it better.

What are the best stats for forge for mage? I have been focusing on only spell damage, evade and resist chance. The rest look like insignificant change to me.

Don't forget INT and WIS! AGI too. And PMI as well. Might throw in some MMI if you really want.
