Since all prefixed rapier can be hollowforged to void damage, does it make demonic and hallow rapiers worth more than ethereal ones?

I'd go for holy/dark even for a DW set, because you still can negate their burden+interference entirely with a featherweight shard.

As everyone else said, yes. There is a slight bit of information behind why, if you're curious.

Ethereal weapons have void damage and a void strike. Same with hollowforged weapons. A Hallowed/demonic weapon has a holy/dark strike on top of that.

If you IW10 an ethereal weapon, it will gain a random elemental strike (from among the six elements). That strike could be holy or dark strike. If so, then technically you have a slightly better weapon in many cases for it having started Ethereal instead of hallowed/demonic.

2/3rds of the time it will be some other element, which may not be as ideal for you. Though cold is often pretty attractive, so your mileage may vary. At least 1/6th of the time it will be fire, which is considered the least attractive or popular element to get though. So, in reality, going with a hallowed/demonic rapier bypasses this outcome. The price of amnesia shards and then going through IW10 all over again could be super expensive.

Hollowforge does not remove the burden and interference of your weapon. Hence Decondolite's mention of featherweight enchanting. They're so dirt cheap that you could, if the tiny bit of burden/interference matters to you, enchant your rapier every time you use it, every day forever, and probably never actually notice the price.

So, with luck, an ethereal rapier that you get holy or dark strike from IW10 (on top of the potencies you prefer) is probably the absolute best. Most real-world situations, starting with Holy/Dark and getting hollowforged is a better choice, and it avoids a lot of pocketbook trauma.

I did. But that was before I discovered better equips that are in auctions. I was also hungry for power at the time since I couldn't even handle Nintendo at the level of 220~something. Actually it's from this page I knew rare mats are to be consumed. Like some sort of unlocker. I am not really keen to test as I don't have any shade lying around (shade fragment being the cheaper rare mats nowadays). Therefore, if somebody tell me I can get it back, hurraah!!

For those that have obtained Daemon Duality, is the effect of DDI immediately noticeable or should I just sell the Hath and sink the proceeds into upgrading my gear?

I've been wondering if fire strike is really the worst element on 1H. The shock shield it pairs with is worthless, but it also has no negative effect either. Whereas the cold and wind shields, while they have an excellent survival effect, also as a side effect have a very very tiny negative effect on your clear times with 1H.

To me fire strike is definitely the worst, but I'm weird and also don't mind swift strike on 1H.

If you switch from 2H to 1H you will take a beating too (^▽^)

It not only a matter of mage being more glassy, it is a matter of low prof in clothes, staff and elemental...

My mag/exquisite set when I played mage for the first time with 2 mag/exq cottons could last a RE and some of the lowest arenas
(⊃。•́‿•̀。)⊃━✿✿✿✿✿✿ in Nintendo and IWBTH sometimes.
