QUOTE(rfgdxm @ Dec 16 2017, 07:20) It's a web game on dmm.com (dmm.com/netgame/feature/kancolle.html). It's about naval combat starring a bunch of WW2 ships represented by cute girls. No adult content, but it has a multitude of female characters and seems to have caught the imaginations of a large community of doujin artists just as Touhou did.
in short, "boats"

Learn to use OFC effectively and you will see pony purchase is the best big purchase (after IA1)!

Except from a few more spirit points there is no benefit. Unless you are playing a 1H Mage (still doubt this) in which case you could increase your counter chance a bit. Not sure if a 1H Mage actually would care about counter chance. This post has been edited by Uncle Stu: Dec 17 2017, 05:02

When I played 1h mage long ago, IIRC counter did help a bit, but probably mainly parry helped, so that means DEX is important. Parry builds up overcharge pips, doesn't it? That would bring the OFC into play. Edit: just checked and tested - counter is very weak 1496 slashing damage vs. 32770 cold damage from freeze 50% resisted - OC pips build up, OFC works in 1h mage. I can use 1 blast every 5 rounds or so - STR helps to give OFC power. With low strength OFC does less damage This post has been edited by DJNoni: Dec 17 2017, 09:13

Mostly for spirit. Which only matters to a mage if you're using Spirit Shield. It doesn't help with Spark of Life. If you're doing a 1h mage build, Spirit Stance might still be a better use of OC pips. Reduce mana costs while in Spirit Stance (and your weak counters would be almost 3k damage!) I think 1h mage is mostly banking on the extra durability of a shield rather than supplementing their spells with OFC. Which, if memory serves, does damage on ADB, not your MDB. So it wouldn't be a terribly impressive OFC for the amount of OC it consumes.

You are right that extra spirit from STR isn't needed for Spark-Of-Life. But what you say in this quote here is wrong, it has no use for mages what so ever. More STR gives no benefits, but does no harm either. Edit: Check this insightful post by sickentide for more details. True. I played one arena, and that's exactly what I see. By the way, with full forged phases, this is quite a fun style! This post has been edited by DJNoni: Dec 17 2017, 12:29

may i ask which is better to forge first, shield or armor? i still had to use protection scroll and a bunch of cure around the last rounds of IW, especially 90+ rounds IW.

Depends on how good the shield is. But a good shield should be forged first. The higher block, the better. Also STR, DEX and END can be forged.

pmi and mmi till the first five levels. same goes for crush/slash/piercing if present. but yep, the only stats worth spending some credits/bindings are block and PABs
