QUOTE(reality_marble @ Dec 15 2017, 13:59) But another slot instead of Shoes might allow someone to play for some nice time until he can get the perk. Specially as the perk costs ~4.25M credits. At this point it still is a lot of money

QUOTE(friggo @ Dec 15 2017, 11:18) Well, you do counter three enemies per attack.
Sure, if your main hit crits, it'll likely outdamage your counters. But overall, the counters still contribute a significant amount of damage.
Just asking. But did you also thought about the stun? Every monster that is stunned dont attack, a monster that doesnt attack cant provoce a counter, and cant get any damage by it. Therefore my argument still stand. And i never said they dont do damage, significant or not. But i do most of my damage not with counters.

That is something that always confuse me. Why it just dont make any sense to fully IW a stuff. I mean, there is no benefit at all and this just feels weird. At least to me.

void strike is useless for mages, since it would be used only in melee-ish attacks. and an eventual proper strike on an Ethereal staff would still be useless because it wouldn't bring any EDB. add this with the not-so-dead-yet chance of having an useful IW10 potency, the vast majority of the mages prefer to leave IW unfinished.

Why are you write this with a quote from me as if i had something that would in any way disagree to what you did wrote here? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I know all this and my guess would be, that all mages would prefer the strike to be replaced by one of the normal Potencies.

As mage is already very strong hopefully (@^◡^) 10B will not add anything and just leave it as is to troll the people who think leaving it at IW9 will be useful in the future.
Talking about IW, for a Mace overpower is silly right? Would FatButt (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄) be the go-to potencies? Or Swift Strike + Fat/But to Stun them all faster?

a high amount, yep. but if a single level had to appear at the end, i wouldn't bother reforge it.

One reason to finish the IW of a staff: having a cool name for it. And it's mandatory to be cool.

depends. if you want to clear arenas, overpower is unnecessary. if you want to clear PFfest, getting chain-parried is the main source of serious incoming damage and i would definitely prefer to have some overpower swift strike isn't necessary for arenas either, but really helps in IWs and fests

Spirit shield kicks in first, so you do get a lot of SP damage if spirit shield kicks in before you get sparked anyway.

What's the best prefix for a battlecaster buckler for 1h mage? I assume it's either mithril or agile, but I don't know which one.

Reinforced and it's not even close. Mithril reduces burden by 0.7, literally nothing. And even then you can buy a featherweight shards for 110C which will have a greater effect. You can literally featherweight it for 1 whole year with less than 1M. (I'm also not convinced that reducing burden helps that much, in the end you still get less counter-attacks) Agile only works for melee attacks so it's not useful for 1h mage. Reinforced reduces the received damage by 2.5/3%.

Attack speed is only about physical attacks, so i'd say Reinforced or Mithril. PS: A good buckler is already rare enough, so whatever you find i guess (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) PS^2: For a 1h mage what was the better Buckler, Barrier or Battlecaster? I forgot. This post has been edited by gianfrix94: Dec 16 2017, 02:28
