For loadout I should take all mana potions or keep 1 or two god healings handy ?

You could decrease poison debuf to 1 points even with that it last really long

Weaken and Bewilder maxed is must for boss fights

Do not know about others as I use only poison, weaken, bewilder

Thinking myself about adding slow for ring of blood otherwise that spell is useless unless we get mass slow wariety

MP tanks are always better than xp tanks.

On lvl 100+ you are powerfull enough to do Battletoads fights which will give you much more experience than any number of xp tanks and mana surpluss will allow you to last longer in item worlds/xfest.

For my Real life attempt

I managed down him to half health than got killed with internet shutdown 2nd hit [Fun part is that it showed me he have only 60% spirit so I didnt recasted life spark in time.

I think for my next atempt I will take one spirit potion instead of one god healing as it seems it will take at least 250 turns to down Real life when I use my turns to recharge spirit points with physical attacks from soul debuff.

Even with 15% soul rezistance, Gaia Scroll, 29% mitigation from armor/stats it still ohk me with spirit attack. [Got 2520 dmg and I have 2421 hp damn]
His skill atacks was so weak though they were almost mitigated by regen.
I would also need 4 gaia scrolls yet they seems always sold out when I go to bazaar

Hmm kay, checkin your information, will remove exp for magic tanks...just one extra question

Abour Spark of life...really worth it to max it ? it aparently costs a lot of mp, or its better stock some scrolls for it ?

Edit02: lol, tried 1 grindfest with battletoad difficult, sooooo much hp x_x

Increased duration is really the selling point, especially if you pop spark at channelling / mystic gem drop (as you should). At 55 supportive prof my boosted x5 spark lasts 73 ticks.

Ye each point put into spark of life literally make it cheaper to run.

Add to that bosses sometimes glitch and use spirit attack sooner than they have maxed spirit points and its no brainer. It will also revive you with more HP and I think even that invurnerablity aura last longer.
But if you have enough scrolls thats the other way you can use it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For IWBTH and Battletoads I suggest you to use it for clearing 1st few arenas.
Hourly battles are also good as you are getting full xp for those

ok, killed real life right now, used like 10 swiftness scrolls, 3 godly mana potions, 13 shadow veil scroll, poison + weaken + blind from iris strike on boss, haste + haste scroll + shadow veil + shadow veil scroll + spark of life...took about 272 rounds to kill it x___x jesus

If you're a melee, I would suggest you to wait till lv. 110 to get silence before fighting the other 2 gods.
Silence basically stops monsters from using skills/SP attacks, so don't need spark/scroll of gods.
Though silence do not stack with weaken/nerf, melees are strong enough to sustain those normal attacks from gods.

Unfortunately silence doesn't work for mages.
For FSM you can wear heaven-sent suit, use scroll of divinity and scroll of gods to spam it until death.
For RL, demon-fiend suit with soul harvest should work, though you can also use magic missile with poison to kill RL (slower but you can use your mana on buffs/debuffs. Use soul harvest when you get hit by SP attack, and bring spare SP potions.)
For IPU,since you don't have dark spells till lv.150, magic missile with poison is the only method you can use.

Remember to use haste scrolls/SV scrolls.

Well i will remember that. Will try it out later so ;3

Will try to level with increased difficult, to be used for it

Need to train some proficiences too

What i really need now is decent equipments. My "Best" equipments are level 43 (lol) and the better one are superior quality, with level 90 + -

I used haste and protect on autocast slots [take 2 MP per turn that way, must try how much mana per turn it will cost with spark of life and haste]
With one mana elixir and 5 god mana potions I should have enough mana to kill RL using Soul Harvest [800-1100 dmg with gaia scroll] didnt tryed magic missile damage on it but I think it will be much lower.

For FSM I think it will be actually easier than RL case unless it have twice as HP as RL than it will go down much faster thx to its weakness to divinity.

Unfortunately FSM should have 5 times as HP as RL, so plan accordingly.

And don't put protection in autocast, put shadow veil instead.
Mages' clothes have low mitigation, so protection is pretty useless.
RL isn't difficult to kill, hope you can succeed. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Absorb can't be autocasted. Even if it can, it only have 75% chance to work, and doesn't work if the incoming attack isn't magical/is a crit hit.

It makes spark for more useful in most cases.
And there're only 5 spells which can be autocasted: haste, SV, protection, spark, SP shield

Well I am re-certing to be a mage, luckily I had the forethought to equally cert all my attributes, except intelligence to a lesser degree. I take points away from my dex to increase my intel should allow me a decent chance at being a mage. I put all my points into health and mana, holy and 2 tier lightning. Not too sure about any of the debuffs at my current level so I suppose I will keep my 10 points free for now.

Any other advice for a player who is moving from fighter to mage?

Just when I thought I figured out everything, a patch comes along.

Everything is looking good so far. I feel like I get more use out of spirit mode than spirit attack.

Killed 6 arenas in battletoads, they take so long...x_x

trying to finish some arenas at nightmare, and trying to grind like that, but take soo much time to kill a wave, and never drops anything that worth xD

I only do most of my arenas on Hard, I'm lazy and want to do them as fast as I can.

I seem to see a lot of posts about people that don't like absorb very much, using spirit shield all the time and blind vs bewilder.

I use absorb almost all the time. I also like to use weaken/bewilder way more then blind. And I almost never seem to use spirit shield. I find that odd since it seems so many others use it all the time.

Absorb lost a lot of its value when custom monsters came out. I only use it on Schoolgirl Marathons since that's the only time that any monster gets to cast their spells.

I don't use Spirit Shield nowadays either. Even when I went for the Dovahkiin title, I just relied on Spark for survival.

My not-so-intelligent guess is that you guys have more hp than other players, so SP shield activates less frequently.

SP shield isn't that useful when you're playing in lower difficulties (normal, hard, even heroic).
I tried that countless times in IWs; after 150 rounds it's spark doing more work than SP shield.
Sometimes I don't even see it activating once in 200 rounds.

And so I guess when you progress in levels, there will be a point which even skill attacks in higher difficulties won't deal more than 25% damage to activate SP shield, which will make it completely useless at that level.

If it's wrong, feel free to give any corrections. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
