I don't know how to do ItemWorld exactly.

I can't understand the mechanism of IW so I haven't tried it ever... sad.

What's the Potency? and What's advantage of reforging?

Basically, you pick an item (weapon/armor) you want to improve, and you fight a set number of rounds (like in an arena). If you beat all rounds, your item will get Item XP. After you've gained enough Item XP, the item will level up and gain a random potency. For example, an armor piece can get extra fire resistance (even if it originally didn't have the +fire resistance prefix). Reforging means resetting the Item XP to 0. It's useful if you're aiming for a specific potency and are willing to reset XP until you get the desired potency.

Basically at IW10 you get a new elemental strike (⌒▽⌒)☆ If ethereal weapon you get random one, if other weapon you get void

To gain that, complete Item World again and again until you get all 10 potencies. The last one will give you that, or something like it.

as a demo, you can try with infusions. go on forge, enchant. it'll last only 15 minutes, but you may see its effect at least.

Also remember ~(˘▽˘~) that IW10 a weapon is worth it, but at your level it isn't worthy to worry about which profs you get. The best is the void strike at IW10, anything that comes before isn't worthy to reforge your weapon over yet.

Before attempting IW10 look at WTS to see if there isn't a better weapon that you can afford and use or you might want to change too soon and have to do it all over again
(〜￣△￣)〜. Outside of PFUDOR (highest difficulty) it will take some time, be warned...

As a rule, charge & radiant are ones that people wanted most. For suffixes, Proficiency (elementalist, demon-fiend, heavent-sent) and elemental damage bonus (surtr, freyr, so on) are the only one worth consideration. Be noted that people who play mage has few millions to burn on gear, so they won't bother with middling rolls.

A DW light/shade build is much faster at clearing SG arenas compared to even a fully forged 1H power build. Or at least that's the case from what I have observed.

it probably depends on the build, i guess. for example, i don't think rapier/waki performs like club/rapier

But it was not the case with me.
I tested
1 H with these Rapier and shield
and DW with these rapier and wakizashi(strike of both compliment each other)
And found that DW was slower then 1H.
Was it because my wakizashi was bad?

seems a good waki for niten. but you may want to try a nimble one for DW. also, with Fatality and Overpower if possible.

How does haste stack with attack speed and casting speed? The same multiplicative reduction as with equipment and stat bonuses?

Also, what are "SG Arenas?"
