You started to play as 1H/Heavy from the level 1? Or was light armor for some time?

Levels 1 to 30 I only had drops. I collected two cloth pieces and a vampire sword maybe?

At level 30 I got a 2H/light kit from Arbiter Erii and went from 30 to 80 in one day.

Next day I hit 100 and find I have to drop difficulty from Hell to Nightmare.

While I was in low 100s, mentioned how hard it was to replace gear and got a lot of 1H heavy gear from Slobber.

I switched to that set in middle 100s.

So what I played from 1-200 was highly influenced by gift equipment from Free Shops and donors. My generation also had Nanoha Prayer giving really useful gifts of restoratives, and others. Modern Free shops are great.

I wanted to say it for long-long time, but constantly forgetting, now I will say...

Oh, I think I'm just nowhere near tanky enough for 1h to work at higher difficulties. Maybe if I stumbled across some high block/mitigation stuff, but otherwise, I probably need to hang on to those speed/evasion stats.

from 150 to 200, average gear is enough for 1H/heavy. 200-250, more like superior gear, but you should start having enough income to get pieces like that from the bazaar.

By the time you need legendary gear to do 1h/heavy, you'll have income from GF arenas to get you respectable equipment.

well into the 300s, my stats were more like STR - DEX - END - highest, AGI - WIS - 10 levels from highest and INT about 80% of level, more or less.

You don't need fancy stat breakouts until later.

I haven't used anything from FreeShop - I only donated to it. Sadly, now I am 400+, so my equipment are no longer useful, so I am sending trophies and restoratives instead (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And, yeah, year ago, there were less shops with "free" content. Now there are way and newcomers have more support from community. The good equipment, however, is still a pain to find... But on other hand, why player should use Legendary already at level 200? Let him play with Superior and Exquisite instead. So it is more a problem of "getting great equipment as soon as possible", which is not a problem to begin with. ^^"

Is there a formula to determine the PXP0 of equipment from all the base stat rolls? I thought I used to see one on the wiki, but now I can't find it. I occasionally use PXP0 to quickly estimate the total base rolls of equipment.

not that i know. however, even if PXP0 could tell you something about the overall quality of the gear, it doesn't tell you anything about the values on important rolls. therefore, a manual check is still needed.

- The global loot penalty for playing many rounds on lower difficulties was removed. Instead, only when doing Grindfest and Item World, a fixed rare drop modifier is applied to artifact and token drop chances, decreasing the drop rate for these two types of items at lower difficulties.

- The artifact/token drop rate for random encounters was increased by 2.5x. Arena drop chances are the same as before. Low difficulty no longer penalizes drop chances in these battle modes.

Yeah, I'm mostly using average, and it's not enough for heavy 1h. There's a huge damage difference between IWBTH and PFUDOR; basically can't survive PFUDOR arenas at all.

which PL for mobs to be regularly scanned? looking at hvlist is quite hard with all those red lines, but 1100 perhaps?

Tenboro allowed as to use multi-person account for testing/debug/writhing-guides purpose.
