QUOTE(buktore @ Dec 15 2011, 21:06) Can I punch you now?
I think it's only fair for you to do that lol QUOTE(Vasistas @ Dec 15 2011, 21:12) nice one, have fun leveling it. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Lol I guess it's completely impossible for me, on *easy* (lol it's embarassing) round 110+ monsters were ripping me apart the only time I tried IW to level up some crappy Superior Power boots (didn't know about Derpy's awesome calculator back then) D: QUOTE(buktore @ Dec 15 2011, 21:54) Superior Shade Breastplate of the Shadowdancer ... From bazaar. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) It has the highest evade I've seen so far for SD shade. Other stats are pretty good, too. ... wr4st3rI , I have to ask since I'm truly can't believe my eye... What arena and difficulty level did you get that from? Woha, who throws that into bazaar? Evasion is awesome, grats! Anyway, I got it from 1.3x bonus exp arena (Exile) on... well Hard lol. Everything above that implies me burning godlies like a madman on buffs, 103 interference kills me :S This post has been edited by wr4st3r: Dec 15 2011, 23:09

I fucking knew it that its must be from some low arena & difficulty combination! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Do me a favor; tell me that your Luck of the draw training is below lv 10 ... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) I need a final nail in the coffin to convince myself that the the whole training thing are one big scam, fraud people of their hard-earned savings by using a fancifully-named "Training Package" purport to improve all sorts of thing, to bilk people's money until they have nothing left. And the "improvement" effects of these training that some people report they got are, in fact, just a placebo... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

got a question... is there anything that increases (or makes you feel like it increases) your chances getting an ethereal weapon, or is always just 1%. feels a lot lower than 1% for me, never even got 1 yet (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

You already know the answer... And it's correct. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Can't say much about this though still being low level... I mean, I clearly drop better stuff than, say, when I was level 50, but with several factors weighin in (LotD, harder arenas, harder difficulty settings - I don't play on normal anymore, for example) , it's tough to say how much importance LotD bears. Still, doesn't it (LotD) affect only quality (Fine, Superior, Exquisite etc)? Because if exquisites aren't super-mega-ultra rare for endgamers just as they are for someone my level, then it's only a matter of luck with suffixes (which we cannot do much about, right?) since there's tons of unuseful ones...

It does. At least that's what it claims to do. I'll end my discussion about item drop in this reply; I cannot grasp the true form of Snowflake's troll! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

I still think more is better. It's just that the effect is so small you'll need like... 10k drops to see the difference (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

QUOTE(wr4st3r @ Dec 15 2011, 20:54) Screw me I guess lol, just got this as Arena clear bonus Exquisite Shade Breastplate of the ShadowdancerHoly shitballs. How much would you be willing to sell it for? I'll pay a fairly huge chunk of money for something as good as that. Of course, don't post it here, send me a PM. If you'll sell it, that is. Is Magic Missile damage based on base magic damage or base physical damage?

With so many people playing HV, there's bound to be instances when a mid-level player get something rediculously good. Should be magic damage. Curious on why you asked that? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Meh, just curiosity. I was missiling Konata with a Destruction staff and I didn't notice any particular damage difference from when I did the same thing with an EDB staff Maybe I just remember wrong

at one time I think MM damage was based on your Elemental Proficiency

I think it's MDM + elemental prof I remember when I was melee-ing back in the day and I was like "whoa fuck I'm gonna be all boss and save mana... I'll MAGIC MISSILE the mofo, proc coalesced, and THEN weaken him!" That MM was the tiniest peck I'd ever seen. Now, at lv 265, monster's defense now begin to take a a more noticeable toll on mace killing speed even with great status... Giant is the biggest culprit, and there appearance seem to be on the rise as I gain more lv, too... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Still not by much at this point though; up to ~20 % slower on average in term of turn count with my current weapon that I have. This is still small when compared to, say, before the rewrite patch, which mace took at least 4 time as much turn on average than an estoc... Still not yet worth it for me to switch since the best 2H weapon available to me is a mace. And the need to cast (a lot) more spell and take extra caution about the mana consumption rates when play at higher difficulty like BT actually make it take more time than just use mace. Maybe it's about time I get more pack rat... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) ... Scythe do work well at lower diff and/or normal status though. Lv 320+ folks say mace is the slowest and different opinion on what is the fastest, which I can perfectly see how that could happen. ... I have to ask, though: How much slower? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) PS. Well, It doesn't really matter much anyway... I have learned that, to me, weapon / equipment type and stats have very little real effect on round-clearing speed. ... It's the "Lag factor" that has the most effect to me. Which is better: Haste or Protection? I'm currently experimenting with using the three best spells in my 5 IA slots so I regen more mana with minimal impact to how much more I need to heal. Shadow Veil and Spirit Shield are musts. I've gotten to the point where if my total IA cost is 1.2, I actually end up regaining one mana point per turn. I'm curious to see how many mana potions need to be consumed with less IA spells active (presuming they're the top 3).
