Not using Spirit Shield, just Spirit Stance and Spark of Life (though it's getting to the point where I'm not certain I need that anymore).

Well, i never used SoL. TBH i dont even know how it looks like when it is triggered. SS on the other side, is something i would never relinquis. But i guess because you still have to encounter the point in HV when the monster get serious, you will change your mind, all by yourself.

I didn't play HV about 2 years. Is there any big difference? Is still Niten Ichryu a good battle style?

Yeah, i would say a few, but that depends on how you define big differences. But i guess the change of the potions, the prof gain and the need to soulfuse your equipment should qualify.

I really doubt it was two years ago. At least today you get prof during using it.

I've been playing niten since level 150 and I'm still pretty satisfied with it. Don't know how great it was 2 years ago though

Is it normal to need a Spirit Draught up at all times with a 1h build? I feel like I'm spending an inordinate amount of credits on them.

If you don't slot in the spirit tank and the spirit pots abilities, then it's normal and you should fix that ASAP.
If you're just using the spirit stance and manage to spend lots of spirit draughts for each arena, then it means you're either dealing way too little damage, or you're playing your 1H wrong.
If Spark of Life gets triggered regularly, time to start thinking about Spirit Shield.

currently we are at v0.86. there have been a few big changes indeed, so i suggest you to read the changelogs of the last few patches (starting from either 0.82 or 0.83, depending on what hit at the moment you stopped playing).

Interesting to see Uncle mention they only use Spirit Shield and not Spark of Life. I was slightly surprised when I read that most people use both at the same time. It makes sense not to if possible, because it is a waste of MP and SP, for achieving a slightly similar effect. The chances that you will spark with an upgraded Spirit Shield cast are low.

Spirit Shield with no upgrades can also be used as a funny replacement for Spark of Life.

WName, I use very few draughts. As others mentioned you need to upgrade your spirit tank. At my current level I play like you, with only Spark of Life. With full upgrades Spirit Shield becomes a huge and sometimes unnecessary drain on spirit so for now I prefer Haste and Shadow Veil.

I've never needed to buy potions or draughts. My reserves naturally either stockpile or stay the same.

I've searched the Wiki everywhere, but cannot find an explanation of the effect it has the training of Set Collector ability.

I don't want to sink Cs in it without knowing what it oes, can someone explain it, please ?

nope, Spirit Shield should be upgraded as much as possible. and yep, if you do only arenas and REs there's the chance you won't need Spark at a certain level. not that it hurts so much having it on, btw...

You mean it adds equip. slot for the persona ?

Just because something seems obvious to you, Scremaz, it's not necessarily obvious to others, especially if they know much less then you about HV; that is why there is the Wiki, after all, for newbies mainly isn't it ? Therefore clarity should be a goal, imho.

Had a quick question though, what was the result of axe vs rapier debate of what is the fastest turnwise for non boss fights?
