By removing haste from my buffing rotation, I decreased my DWD clearing time by almost 40 per cent.

It may be not related to haste itself - your tps may be a reason behind.
I can say for myself, that year ago, I tried DwD win or without haste in long-time research (did like 30-40 runs) and in my case haste slows me for 5%-10% - not that critical. Not casting haste gave me like 1-2min of boost, but still.

QUOTE
Not casting haste, lowering your cleartime by 40% sounds extreme. In Research for 1H three different high level users claimed without proof a lowered cleartime of 5%, 12%, and 0% (no difference). It might depend on your play style as there are multiple ways to play 1H (how you target enemies, whether you cast imperil, whether you have innate arcana).

This. maybe you are casting lots of cure during the play? Then haste can help you to cure yourself before enemy would attack your (or otherwise - you used cure, get hit, then heal once again - extra step).
Do you have IA3 to store your Protection, Spirit Shield, and Spark of Life? How long is your Regen (mine is 110 turns) and Heartseeker (mine is 574).
If you have to cast debuffs a lot, than once again Haste should help you to save time, but dropping it by 40% sounds pretty extreme, to be fair. Maybe bandwidth problem?

for cold? no.

Long answer: It can be good against schoolgirls, more damage is more damage. And when you're pretty strong, it helps to clear the monsters that your imperlil missed. Works for arenas. Not for PFfest. Only my shoes are shiny (radiant) in PFFest. While against SG my pants are shiny too.

For cold mage, does it mean trying to imperil every monster at least once before you cast any other spell?

I try. But Imperil misses sometimes. After 3 imperils, it's best to cast T3 attack spell to kill some of the imperiled monsters. Then it depends a bit on which monster is still standing. If it is one of the really strong ones, I give them another imperil after their friends have died. If it's just another monster, I hit them with a couple of cold spells to finish them off.

In end rounds of PFfest, I can't do more than 3 imperils before attacking because otherwise they will (almost) kill me. In arena's, I can easily try 4-5 imperils before attacking.

Imo
FSM, for profit.
Konata, for Chaos Token.
TT&TT when you have too many Blood Tokens and FSM is allready beaten.

I was thinking that TT&TT was the best because of token drops, but now i realized that you also get the garanteed loot drop at the end, so i was unsure :/ guess im gonna rekill TT&TT just for fun and then farm FSM for profit whenever i can, thanks (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

5x token RoB - where Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM) and 3x Schoolgirls (SG) are.
The catch is - FSM drops Noodle Appendage that you can sell for 42,000 credits in WTB-section of the forum. In one week you can easily get ~300,000 credits from trading them solely.

10x token RoB has FSM too, but for same price you can do two 5x RoB - twice the profit. However in that RoB you have higher chance to get good equip as clear bonus, but chance to get Legendary is still so miserably that does not worth spending 10x tokens. =)
And also the quality of clear bonus correlates with your difficulty - so you HAVE to finish 10x token RoB on PFUDOR difficulty to get nice drop.
Noodle Appendage, on other hand, would be dropped on ANY difficulty.

Good luck =)

You have better chances to get legendary equipment from clearing Random Encounters - and you can get 24 of them in one day (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

QUOTE(BlueWaterSplash @ Sep 24 2017, 23:05) *

I am amazed Cryosite can clear End of Days in half an hour. It takes me two hours. What difficulty do you play on and what is your turns/second? (My turns/second is officially 0.5 ~ 0.7 now that I have Monsterbation script to check. It makes no difference for me whether Monsterbation is on or off, so I turned it off for now until I reach a much higher level).

The way defensive stats, like block, scale is weird. It starts at a base value and barely changes at all until you become very high level, then it changes a little bit. You can't linearly extrapolate what you see on the high level shields to what we'd get. You need to apply the exact formula curve (which isn't that complicated). It would still be nice if we could preview the soulfused stats of our gear before we actually soulfuse it. Maybe someone can ask for this feature in the appropriate thread.

[i.imgur.com] On IWBTH. Still haven't tried PFUDOR yet. 1.59 in that screenshot, though I've pushed over 2.5. That was using my "old" setup described above.

EDIT: [url=https://i.imgur.com/tM43EkV.png]Today's run of EoD, using new set. It felt like I had to recover from Spark half again to maybe twice as many times as I usually have to in a run, but I was well-caffeinated and managed to react promptly when it happened. It did feel like I was having to burn a few more potions as a result too. But, reduced clear time is hard to argue with. A portion of that is due to the increased t/s though. So, more testing needed.

What really, really slows me down is the frequency of actions I need to take other than clicking normal attacks in a run. How often I have to react to the need to use a potion, refresh a buff, or cure. I use hotkeys for all of that, but they are noticeably slower than just beating things up.

My style of 1h is to run with high defense and regen. I keep protection and spark on IA (still debating getting IA III for spirit shield). If I could put regen on IA, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I keep Spirit stance running constantly once I have two pips of OC. I cast Heartseeker if I get channeling off of regen, cure, or as a powerup gem. I keep an eye on my mp and spirit bars, and pop a draught when they're low enough to efficiently use those. Most of my combat involves picking out the higher PL monsters and hovering over then until they're dead, then sweeping through the rest.

A few situations I vary from that:
When I hit a round of 7+ monsters, I'll use OFC, though that often involves a "recovery" period after where I spend a little time out of spirit stance to get back to full pips faster so that OFC can be used again once it comes off of cooldown (staying in spirit stance for 50 rounds usually doesn't refill enough OC to fire right away).

In "short" content like a random encounter, I'll pop imperil and firey blast once each in order to get some prof. Occasionally I'll do that at the end of a long run as well.

Against schoolgirls, I'll hover over them and let the regular monsters die to counter attacks. For this situation, I imagine I'll see a little bit of speed gain from increased DPS. This is where most of my testing will take place with the higher DPS setup.

I have found an interesting trick I have never heard before - whenever player see that his current equipment stock is full, say 997/1000 - he can send few equipment via MoogleMail to SnowFlake and leave his equipment here as attachments.

Is that advice work? Is it dangerous? (Maybe ShowFlake's mail being cleaned every day?) Is is legal?

Is it viable to store equipments by sending them to snowflake via mooglemail?
i would not do it, for two reasons:
1. do you know who manages snowflake account?
2. after a certain amount of time passed, MMs are pruned and their attachments lost.

If kukrak decides not to use the helmet I'd like to borrow or buy it. I'm still not using any real shield (25% block haha) and I wanna block with my head. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Just did an item world at PFUDOR today (was doing IWBTH but I forgot to change the difficulty). I survived but it was tough and it took 2 hours to finish, at 0.33 turns/second haha. I'm still not that fond of Spirit Shield at my current level and upgrade 4, but it is absolutely needed for me to survive item world at PFUDOR or IWBTH.
