QUOTE(Uncle Stu @ Sep 18 2017, 20:29) You mean something like this? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) You're cute. I've got way more than this. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I won't sell anythingthough. I still appreciate using infusions from time to time to max out my damage power and I'll need the scrolls the day I'll start maging.

Cute could you call me, when i was showing off. But i was just asking a question. With an (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) at the end. Showing off would had an (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) at the end. So, there was nothing cute.

Got another question. What should I be doing with my credits at this point? I've got about 700k since I haven't been doing much with it. Save for now? Buy stamina regen items? Buy hath for perks? Something else?

You could do some training to increase your income and exp gain.

Yeah, I've been training Adept Learner, but it's cheap enough that it's not making much of a dent in my income. Are the drop chance skills worth training at this point? I figured they'd be more useful towards the endgame for non-shit gear.

The first levels are worth it a your level. So i suggest, train them as long you can easy afford what they cost. And stop when they start to feel too expensive to you. This post has been edited by Uncle Stu: Sep 19 2017, 06:47

Holy crap 700k credits, I've never had more than 400k credits at once, but usually I'm below 100k credits or penniless. I guess you're not alone though, I wondered how other people around only level 200 had over 1 million credits to buy equipment...
However I feel you are wrong about waiting for better gear. Around level 180 you can already start getting legendary equipment. Setting aside training, by the time you are level 250 you should already be getting legendaries as "often" as a level 500 player. Often as in relative to the amount of enemies you clear and your level, not in terms of how fast you obliterate them, or how many you get per day.

About 100k of that is from selling trophies and artifacts, and then another 66k from the free credits thread over in WTS. Rest is all from credit drops, arena rewards, and vendoring low quality gear. Thanks for the input! I'll go ahead and dump some training time into the droprate skills as well.

That's still very much down to luck. By the time I reached level 300, I had only found 2 legendaries. Well, 1 peerless and 1 legendary, but still... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

was thinking about a flow chart for wannabe mages - more precisely, to pick your element.
what are the choices? imperil yes -> element, imperil no -> holy/dark. and then?

I was told you would need imperil with holy for everything that is not Endgamegear. This post has been edited by Uncle Stu: Sep 19 2017, 17:29

WName, it seems getting legendaries starts from playing on high difficulty, preferably iwbth or pfudor. So once you can manage that you can start getting legendaries. At your level, after patch 0.85 which made things easier, you should be able to beat at least the low level arenas on iwbth and pfudor, and possibly even every arena (though it would be a struggle and probably not recommended).
friggo, yeah I didn't word it correctly, but getting legendaries in the level 200 to 300 range seems to be highly variable. Well, the rate of drop per enemy faced can be the same (neglecting training and real world turns/second), but because you level up much more quickly, you probably only get a few legendaries before level 300.

Did the first arena on PFUDOR, but got facefucked by a crit on the 2nd one. I do somewhat better on IWBTH but still have issues with crits. Once I hit 200, is Spirit Shield a good option for negating big hits? Should I run Spark of Life now?

Yeah you are at the level where you should start to be relying on Spark of Life a lot. You will eventually start to use it constantly for safety (buffs last longer at high levels thus are cheap to maintain) even though you won't need it as much.
1H is overrated below level 200 to 250. I was fine using DW up to level 240 and think I was probably the stronger for it.
I only used Spirit Shield briefly around level 200 as a replacement for Spark of Life, but then I went back to Spark. Supposedly at higher levels and upgrades it will become beneficial to use both an upgraded Spirit Shield (for damage reduction as opposed to OHKO prevention) and Spark simultaneously but I haven't reached that point yet.
Scremaz, I upgraded my Spirit Shield to 4 but haven't found it any better than at 3 yet. Although it lasts longer and kicks in earlier, it still seems to have the same HP/SP conversion ratio of about 1%. It hasn't gotten more efficient HP/SP like the game says. Maybe level 5 will have that effect? I don't recall the HP/SP conversion ratios for Spirit Shield below level 3.
