Is it possible to 1-2 shot normalfest with a 2H weapon and a mage stat build?

Physical or magical? Cloth/Light/Heavy?
Pestilence + Purge seems to take care of things pretty well (Shade + Ethereal Estoc)

I was looking at HV equipment calc. Looks good, but... How do you guys tell things such as "this item has bad stats" or "this item has close to max stats possible"?

I tried that, and the answer is simply no. Still need about 10-15 wracks to clear a round. (And I've adjusted my stat so that STR/DEX equals to my level)

Do you need near-max ADB shade/power armor to 1-2 shot normalfest as a melee? My melee profs are abysmal (2H: ~46), not sure if worth grinding up. (Current stats in my crappy shade suit are: STR/DEX/AGI: 375/356/407, ADB: ~320, + weedwhacker) This post has been edited by Ballistic9: Dec 9 2011, 15:10

When you say 1-2 shot, you mean the whole mobs or a single enemy? For 9 mobs, 1-2 shot is a bit optimistic if you ask me... 2-4 seems more realistic, since melee gameplay is base largely on luck after all...** (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) I don't think godly shade is needed, if at all, for normal diff. But high 2H prof is a must, though I don't know if it worth for you to grind it... Unless you're extremely bored. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Nice scythe BTW, too bad bleed is a tad low... ** Then again, I haven't play normal with 2H for a long time now, so I might be wrong... 2-shot the whole round, was wondering if melee'd be better for normalfesting. I remember someone saying you can survive indefinitely with the right setup.

don't know about that. The deeper you go the more damage the monsters do. When I did +12,000 rounds in a hard grindfest anything that didn't die the first round could do +65k damage with a normal attack.

12,000!? I get blown up after I run out of mana potions at around 55 rounds :<

Craziness. Last time I tried a normalfest I got past round 1000, mobs were hitting my spirit shield for ~75 SP a hit (9000+ damage).
