Final round only is the way to go.
Exhausting spirit stance in any of the rounds before = losing time to recharge OC and enabling spirit stance again.
As for how I initially start spirit stance, I just enable it once I reached 50 OC (2 full OC pips) and it'll eventually fill itself anyway, given that I have at least 3 monsters per round.

I don't think this is a problem, in 50 turns you can't recharge 210 OC anyway so toggling out SS actually let's you recharge OFC faster.
The ideal would be:
round x: OFC
round x+1: automatically out of spirit stance
round x+y (with y <=10): enable spirit stance
round x + 50: OFC again
then repeat

In my quick testing the damage loss of having SS off for <10 turns + 1 turn loss for enabling SS is may be less than waiting 20-30 turns more for OC to fully recharge.
(actually tested on a 97 rounds PFUDOR IW so it's not exactly the same as SG arenas but whatever)
I don't use it since maging is faster (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)


Speaking of 1H it's not vastly different since 0.85, vital strike it's now a pretty good solution for when there is only 1 or 2 SG, less OC cost and similar damage, the only drawback is that you must use it on stunned monsters, which means more micro-managing.
I think it's something that you need to test it out, it may depends on how fast you are at micro-managing and how long does it take to kill a SG.
The only think I would say it's mandatory it's to either have a rapier and inflict some PA or use imperil before hitting with OFC or Vital Strike, 3XPA applied more than double the damage, letting you, in some case, one-shot the SG (in case of konata from nearly full health, the others need to be weakened a bit first).

There are probably some video of me doing SG runs here.
Note that I would now surely use vital strike with 1 SG and, possibly, with 2 SG (I would need to do, at least, 4-5 days of 1H to really be confident, and 1H is too fucking slow).
Imperil if it makes you faster (depends on t/s, damage, etc etc).

I am currently able to beat all Arenas and Ring of Blood on PFUDOR without excessive potions, but it does take me 1~3 hours to clear the higher Arenas.

In particular, at present I'm trying to keep my level low, so my goal is to maximize the chances of getting Legendary gear relative to the amount of experience gained.

If I do Eternal Darkness arena on PFUDOR, I will gain 2.5x experience which is undesirable, plus I will fight mostly Schoolgirls who drop poor trophies, all for one better equipment drop at the end. If I do Eternal Darkness on Normal, I won't gain much experience but would hoard up Schoolgirl trophies, which might work.

Trio and the Tree would yield one good equipment drop at the end plus a Sapling trophy, but give a lot of undesirable experience.

To Kill a God, Dreamfall, or Killzone would have a big swarm at the last fight and maximize the chances of a good equipment drop from a monster, though the Arena clear equipment will be worse. Kind of like doing Random Encounters which might also be the best way since you only need to do the one fight.

At your level, the game is very hard. What I did is buy a Gold Star around that level, that helps. Keep playing 1h melee, rapier and force shield and power armors, and you'll get through this hard part of the game.

This is EXACTLY what I tried to do from the lower 200s to about lvl 405.
At 405, game over. It was too late, and I failed horribly.

The mistake I made was the Arenas.
As you said, they don't pay off when it comes to equipment.
Even DwD gives an exquisite 99% of the time.
The Arenas are Trophy and Token farms. That's it.
My failure was the insanity of repeating it day after day expecting equipment to drop.
It never did... Never.

I have found IW has been the most fruitful for dropping equipment.
But you must play on PFUDOR and it's excruciating to make it through.

I've never tried IW PFUDOR on crude equipment, it may be easier.
I'd at least give that route a try for a couple of weeks.
Disclaimer: I think the IWs still yank a stamina point from you when you open it.
I'm sure the grindfests yank a point.

But follow your own advice. Do not expect a flow of Legendaries from the Arenas.
From experience... it's not going to happen there for you.

4. it depends how many slots you have. personally i'd say Spark > Shadow Veil > Spirit Shield > Haste > Protection. but i may be slightly wrong.

I would rate spirit shield and haste above ahadow veil.
And Spark, Spirit Shield, Shadow Veil and Haste needs to be in IA.
Manually casting protection is the only valid exception (I got IA5 2 weeks after going mage anyway, autocasting is so much better).

No, for IW you just pay the stamina cost at the start.
The point loss for IW was quickly removed after 0.85.

Gotcha. I wish Leg slaughter had a bigger ADB differential. I need at least +1000 to cut down monster fights by only one turn. 0.85 made things so much more tedious at Normal and "hahahaha lolno yer gonna be here awhile" at PF.

No.

This was one of the changes of the recent update. It doesn't matter if you cast Imperil 1 time or 100 times per round, you still get the same amount of deprecating proficiency.

Forget about IWing your shield, it's not that useful.
As for your rapier, it's already a bit too late to reforge it. If it wasn't soulbound, you could have paid someone for an IW service and get the good potencies, but now that you are there, you'd better finish your IW and take whatever is given to you. Just pray that you don't get Swift Strike and if you don't get it it's already very good. Unless you're wanting to use that Rapier for DW in which case swift strike is good.

what is the most ideal thing to do at my level and also considering my ping, im thinking to save up credits to invest for adept learner currently220 to 300 and exp gain hathperks to level up faster

or to invest to get legends and forge them?

is it bad that i've never forged and soulfused any of my armor?

A lot of things to do:
1) Optimize your computer. So disable indexing and all the useless services.
2) Turn off your antivirus while playing. And perform a few scans in case you have a trojan or something.
3) Run CCleaner.
4) Smack all useless backgrounds processes like Adobe Updater and all.
5) Play HV on Chrome if it's not already the case. And disable all Chrome's bullshit activity like tracking, sending reports or God knows what.
6) Try to play with regular HTTP instead of HTTPS, or alt.hentaiverse.org
7) Don't use your ISP's DNS. Use Google's or OpenDNS (which I highly recommend). I did experience huge lag issues in the past due to that. Don't forget to set it up for both IPv4 and IPv6.
8) If the game's becomming too hard, favor Power of Protection instead of Power of Slaughter. Don't be afraid to use a few deprecating spells aswell if necessary: Silence and Weaken rock for 1H.

As for your IW/Forging issues... don't both IWing your armor unless it's really the only thing left you have to do. Don't forge Mag Power aswell, it's a waste of rare materials. Focus on getting Legs/Peerless and focus your priority in forging your weapon+shield, IWing your weapon.

Regarding speed I want to share my experience. Might be useful to others.

you may try switching to mage. t/s will be roughly the same (if not a bit slower), but number of turns should be considerably lowered. it would require a certain initial investment though.

depends on your playstyle. 1H is fine with IA3. other styles could take advantage from IA4
