QUOTE(decondelite @ Sep 3 2017, 13:51) IW10 grants void damage too. But elemental rapiers have burden, which is favourable to 1H playstyles and can be completely negated for DW playstyles with a featherweight shard. Furthermore, with an elemental you know what elemental strikes you will get at IW10 (the already existing element+void strike), while an ethereal is a random pick between the 6 elements added to the void strike.
or.. You can IW to 9, and then pick 2 to infuse before play.

Read the wiki? I mean, you can't really expect anyone to make a summary of all the information needed to start maging (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) If you have doubt about the equipments needed, the gameplay or anything else just ask the specific question.

QUOTE(Scremaz @ Sep 3 2017, 23:52) just in case... https://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_Advicehttps://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_Advice_Advancedplus, iirc somewhere there was a graph (a block diagram, perhaps? or an algorythm?) which helped people picking their element... I had some nilfheim phase in my inventory already so I decided to go ice. Actually I have read all of those and reached prof 230 already but I still have some doubt. 1. So no staff bonking monster's head? No means completely not, not rarely. 2. Maging is pretty much spamming spells of my chosen element? 3. Do I need to Imperil? 4. What spells are recommended to put into IA? Currently I'm putting SoL and Protection to farm proficiency. 5. I won't be upgrading armors much. Should I be looking for a Charged or Radiant Phase? 6. Do I need to cast anything apart from my element spells and Imperil?

1. completely not. staff prof is awarded as long as a staff is equipped now 2. yes. put them in chain rotation (in the order T3 > T2 > T1) and cure/rebuff/chunk potions when needed 3. yes. elemental mages have to. 4. it depends how many slots you have. personally i'd say Spark > Shadow Veil > Spirit Shield > Haste > Protection. but i may be slightly wrong. 5. it depends whether you want to do more arenas or more GFs. or at least, djnoni said so ther other day... 6. supportives. probably a couple of deprecating ones, but only in critical situations. btw, now you have to go with Arcane Focus, not Heartseeker

they are not so relevant, but usually Holyproof and Fireproof are considered the best mitigation potencies (due to many Celestials and Dragonkins respectively). note that if you already have one of those in the prefix you cannot earn it through IW though - not that it matters, since equip roll > potency lv5

So when a piece is allready cobalt it will never gain coldprof? Never noticed that, but good to know. Well in that case i wont waste any shards on the shield and just be happy with whatever i get from snowflake the IW goddess. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Never heard about that too. Pretty surprised actually. How do you know all that Scremaz? =) This is true for any equipment with any elemental prefix, or only for shields?

i read here and there... at least, this is what has been told a few times - personally i didn't find exceptions until now QUOTE(f4tal @ Sep 4 2017, 01:09) This is true for any equipment with any elemental prefix, or only for shields?
for armors as well. and same goes for economizer potency on focus staff. you may even exploit this: if you're not interested in particular prefixes but want to IW your armors, you'd better pick an elemental one to boost a bit your chances of earning Juggernaut.

QUOTE(ALL_MIGHT @ Sep 4 2017, 01:16) Is this error in new wiki page HentaiVerse_Advice_AdvancedIn it here it says that "Int provides SP" either it should be Int provides mp or it is wrong. because in wiki here https://ehwiki.org/wiki/Character_Stats it says Every point invested in any attribute: +0.2 Spirit PointsSo . which is correct? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) both. they are perfectly coherent. if every stat provides SP in general, then INT does it in particular. so, the only use a melee player could have of INT would be to boost his SP tank

QUOTE you may even exploit this: if you're not interested in particular prefixes but want to IW your armors, you'd better pick an elemental one to boost a bit your chances of earning Juggernaut. Hey, it is good idea! However, between elemental and savage, I would pick up savage prefix and would try to get Juggernaut with it... But this is, of cource, personal taste, your advice is good and clever anyway =) This post has been edited by f4tal: Sep 4 2017, 01:43

spam one elemental spell (a T1, preferably) per round.

Just to say it, i do every RE a single spell from every potency to optimize the output of them.

yep. since it's related to EXP, REs and arenas should give the best results.
