QUOTE(Eutopia @ Nov 8 2009, 02:02) What you are talking about is the chance of magic being interfered, but having 20 Interference will still reduce your offensive magic damage with 20%.
Uh-oh. Then, 100 interference = no magic damage? And beyond 100 = ... what, healing monsters? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm pretty sure it's every point of interference over 20 reduces you magic rating by 1, not your power by 1%.

QUOTE(Tenboro @ Aug 20 2009, 21:10) When you wear non-mage armor, you gain interference. While an interference at up to 20 does not decrease your chance to cast and land a spell, it still reduces your damage from offensive spells by 1% per point.
The interference have been changed up to 25 for magic interference, but the rest still applies. This is why wearing 1 heavy armor isnt worth it, you will gain it back from the offensive damage + some evade resist bonus. If it werent like this then mages could wear 2 chainmails and still have 100% damage with their magic which would be pretty OP. This post has been edited by Eutopia: Nov 8 2009, 01:24

What kind of items do all the high rollers bring to normal dreamfall arenas and beyond these days?
I bring 10 godly mana draughts and 2 elixirs to dreamfall these days (pre 0.4.0 used to consistently complete without using elixirs), haven't attempted exile ever since I lost in 0.4.1 using 8 godly mana draughts and 4 mana elixirs but I'd guess it'd take 6 mana elixir and 6 godly mana draught.
The arenas before those can still be consistently beat without resorting to elixirs so didn't ask about those.

I bring a 2 average, 3 greater, 3 superior mana draughts, and 2 godly mana potions to everything up to and including Exile, then I'll swap the 2 average for 2 godly draughts for Feast and Sealed Power, though I don't always use the godlys on either of them depending on second winds.

I guess that depends on who you're asking since I just finished Eve of Death using about half of a godly mana draught.

50ish per second wind, forget exact amount, max mp at lev 140 254 atm
I refuse to pump int and wis! :P (srsly my total amount spent on int and wis is less than how much I spend on a next point of dex) e.g. 164 str 8005171, 156 dex < 6003878.25 (75% of amount spent on str), 127 agi < 2001292.75 (1/3 of amount spent on dex) 215082*2/3 68 wis 56 int 215082 is a cost of exp for a dex point so 1/3 of that is how much I spend on int, 2/3 of that is how much I spend on wis I keep end same as my dex

guess that's up to you, I get 85 mana back on second wind and recover 1 mana ever 2.5 turns. So I say wis is total worth it.

I can see the (no pun intended ) of continuing to put at least some points into WIS, but for a Tank I can see no usefulness whatsoever to doing anything about putting much of anything into INT.

Well int you get magic hit chance and a tiny bit of mp so it's slightly useful preventing mobs from resisting your weakens and silences. Magic Hit Chance= 75 + INT / 25 + WIS / 40 Magic Points= (10 + LEVEL + INT * 0.25 + WIS * 0.75) * MP Tank Modifier

Seems to me that it would kinda suck if this were true -it would mean, at least to me, that you could never really 'get ahead' in terms of fighting them (aside from Armor and other boosts).

Monster stats are obviously linked to their level, which follows your level. But I think that's as far as it goes. If you have high HP and low MP, for example, there's no reason to think the same will be true of the monsters.

Right, but Hito's stats are all greater than his level, by a significant amount (10-25 maybe). So it could be that as we level, we gain a small advantage over the monsters because we gain stats faster.

Relative to your level? Yes, after you pass Lv.120 or so IIRC, the EXP required per level surpasses the summation of EXP needed to increase the 6 attributes by one point (if they are completely balanced.) So, assuming Tenboro doesn't tweak anything to compensate for this, I should gradually become stronger relative to the enemies at my level.

Thanks in advance PS: I know the username is stupid (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) FIRST, you need to tell the Experts what 'career path' you'd like to follow. Do you want to be a 'pure' Mage? Or perhaps a Rogue/Ranger (all light Armor, and light Weapons)?? Maybe what is called a "Fridge" or "Tank" (heavy Armor, heavy Weapons)?? Or mayhap you'd even like to explore life as a Spell-Sword (A mix or Armors, a Staff or light Weaponry, and a mix of martial prowess and magical capabilities)??
